"River? What are you doing in my room"
"I need to tell you something Abby"
"What is it River, you know you can tell me anything"
"Abby.... I like you" River leaned in to kiss me.

"Abby!" Star yelled

I sat up quickly. It was just a dream.
Ughhh

"What do you want!"
"Can I borrow your black crop top"
"No"
"Why not"
"Cause you woke me up, and I was having a good dream"
"Whatever" star rolled her eyes and walked away.

I got out my phone to text River, and ask if he wanted to hang out today, but then I remembered, he has a date with Tana.

Great.

I finally got up from bed and decided to go to the movies. At the movie theater they were playing classic movies this whole summer, so I decided to go watch east of Eden,again, cause my bby James is in it, and because I love that movie.

I grabbed my shorts and wore my fishnet leggings underneath. I got my black crop top and my red flannel, and my dr martens.

"Mom can I go to the movies"
"Sure is River going with you"
"No I'm going by myself"
" are you going to be okay"
"Yesss"
"Do you want me to drop you off"
"Yes please"

"Bye, and be careful"
"I will"

I opened the big glass door and as soon as I entered the movie theater/lobby (I really don't know what to call it😂) I smelled popcorn. Going to the movies and watching movies in general made me happy. I guess I watch movies a lot, and read a lot, to escape from this shitty world.

Life isn't too great. There's still war, racism, people who are against LGBT, and sexist people going on. Which I don't get.

And I know I'm only 16 but I don't know what I want to do after school.
I don't want to go to college, and I don't know what I want to do with my life.

My parents don't understand how I feel. They want me to go to college but I don't know. And I don't even know if I want a family. I don't want a man to be telling me to clean the house, cook for him, do his laundry. But I know River isn't like that, but he fell for Tana.

"Hi can I have one ticket for east of Eden"
"That will be $12.00"
I handed him the money.
"Enjoy your movie"
"You to- I mean have a good night, I'm sorry"
"It's okay" the man said.

Wow. Why do I always embarrass myself.

When I entered the movie theater room I noticed there wasn't a lot of people.

I sat in an empty row.

"Hello. May I sit here"
A guy pointed to the seat next to me.
"Ya"

I have to admit he was pretty cute.

"What's your name" the guy said
"Abby, yours"
"Neil Perry" ( Neil Perry as in Neil Perry from dead poets society. So credit to the creator of dead poets)

"So do you like James Dean"
"Yes I love him!" Me being a dumb bitch, I yelled that out, and everyone was starting at me. Great.
"Wow I'm sorry I probably embarrassed you" my checks turned red.
"It's alright, it's pretty cute" he said while smiling.

Ugh I swear his smile could light up a room. I couldn't help but smile back.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw River.
River Jude Phoenix with Tana.

I'm guessing I had a sad look on my face cause Neil asked what's wrong.

"It's nothing" a gave a thin smile.
"I know something's wrong" he had caring look on his face.
"I'm really sorry, Im sure your a really great guy, but we just met and I don't trust you"
"It's okay, I understand, that's why we should get to know each other"
"Ya that would be nice"
He smiled and I couldn't help but smile back.

I tried looking for River, but I couldn't find him.

I turned around and there he was.

"Abby?"
"Oh hi River" I said through my teeth
"What are you doing here?" He said
"Hmm what would I be doing at a movie theater" I said sarcastically and turned to face the screen.

"Who's that" Neil ask
"I really don't want to talk about him"
"I understand"

Neil. is. perfect.

The movie began and as soon as I saw James I smiled.
Neil turned to me and smiled.

It was at the part when he's saying "I hate you" to his dad, and I got pretty sad.
James Dean life was pretty similar to Cal's. 

I thought about how James mom died and his dad left him. He said that he would come back, and he never did. He never accepted James. My little bean deserved better.

The end credits rolled and I stood up.

"Well I have to go now Neil, it was nice meeting you and hanging out with you, we should do this again"
"For sure, tomorrow at 3:00 we can watch rebel without a cause?"
"Yes, well I'll see you tomorrow, bye"
"Bye"

I walked out and sat on a bench outside of the movie theater.

I took out my phone and texted my mom to pick me up.

Mom: I'm on my way
A: k

"Hey"
I turned around to see River.
"Oh hi"
" are you mad at me?"
"No why would I be mad at you"
He didn't say anything.

"So how was your date"
"Good good"
"Cool"

"So, who was that guy sitting next to you"
"Neil"
"Oh"

"Do you want to hang out tomorrow?"
"I'm hanging out with Neil tomorrow"

He looked hurt, but he's the one that motivated me to hang out with other guys.

"Oh"
"Ya. We could hang out the day after?"
"I'm going to hang out with Tana, but you could tag along?"
"No it's okay. I don't want to be third wheeling"
"You won't. I promise"
"Are you sure"
"Yes"
"Okay, text me what time and where we're going to meet up"
"Okay bye"
"Bye River"

I saw my moms car and entered it.

"How was the movie?"
"Good"

When we got home I went straight to my room and went to sleep.
