The Silence Kills Me

Act 1, Part 1

Another school?
I lived in America since I was born, moving from state to state. But, a whole other country? You're kidding right?
"It'll be fine," My dad states. "You already know Japanese."
Wait. Japan? Never mind. Let's leave right now.
"You'll be great." He smiled before ruffling my hair. "The school is called Otonokizaka."
My dad mentioning school again made me sick. I could only think of the bullying that would happen. Just because I'm mute. I hate it. Just another reason people say I shouldn't be living.
Dad is the opposite. He's so bright, he could be the sun. He wants me to "stay alive to see the future". Yes, I get it. Things could get better later on in life. But still.

We were nearing the end of our flight. It was so pretty, it was unreal. It looks like it could be in an art museum.
  Dad and I have to stay in a hotel until he can afford a house. I mean, it doesn't matter to me.
"Everything good?" He asked.  I nodded. Then, he gave me a school outfit. Just like the ones in anime. I looked up at him, smiling. He had a tear in his eye. "You're so gorgeous.  You are everything I ever wanted. If only your mom could see you now."
Oh god. Mom.
She died so early. I saw her die too.

"Mom?!??" I screamed. "Where are you?"
I searched for her, still looking up at the flaming building. The fire was its own person. Building, and building with fury. Dad had walked up to me, tears falling, bowing his head.
"There's a time in your life, when someone leaves you."
"Like... Forever?"
  "Sadly, yes."

God, life is so fucking hard.

I loved her. Then, she left. She flashed before my eyes. Her smile, her face, her loving personality. It's all gone. Why?

Dad had told me that I start school tomorrow. God, that is the day that scares me the most. Every first day.

I slept terribly last night. I got up and put on my school outfit. The dark blue of the coat and skirt made my light strawberry blonde hair stand out.
Oh jeez, I just have to stand out....

I got on the bus to Otonokizaka, hoping nobody would think I'm as weird as I actually am. I looked around the bus and saw two other members of the school. One with light brown hair, the other with orange.

"Kotori~Chan... I'm hungry... nya~" The orange hair girl whined.
"Well.. Rin~Chan... why didn't you eat this morning?" The girl supposedly named Kotori asked.
"Nya... I'm going to ask people on the bus~" Rin told Kotori.
  Right as Rin had said that, the bus stopped at the closest place to Otonokizaka.

Thank god she didn't ask me.

I walked out of the bus and walked as far away from Rin and Kotori. Eventually, I got to school.
Scuttling to class, I noticed a poster for a idol group.
"Muse's 3rd Concert in... 4 days!"
Where it said 4 days, there were around 17 papers behind it to obviously count down the days.
  I kept walking still questioning who Muse was and what a idol group is.
I went to my supposed classroom, when the teacher told me to go the principals.
Ok, so if I could've spoke then, I would've told her to fuck off. But I can't.

I had gotten to the principals and there were two girls standing in front of the door.
"Ami, right?" The first girl told me. I nodded. "I'm the student council president, Ayase Eli." She turned to a purpled hair girl. "And this is the Vice President, Tojo Nozomi."
"Hello!" Nozomi waved.
"We are here to show you around school." Eli told me. I faked a smile before the three of us walked around the campus. It actually was really pretty.
"Ami~Chan, what's your favorite part of the school?" Nozomi asked me.
There was a elongated awkward silence.
"If you don't answer me... I will punish you~" Nozomi raised her arms and her hands were in a grabbing state.
I backed away slowly.
Eli walked in front of me. "Nozomi." She whispered into her ear. "She's mute."
I had blushed a little.  What?

We had continued the tour until we reached the staircase to the roof. "Lastly, the roof where Muse practices."
Muse. Muse.... OH RIGHT! THAT IDOL GROUP!
Eli opened the door to reveal seven girls in what seemed to be their "practice outfit."
Everyone turned toward me.
"Everyone. This is Ami. She is new at Otonokizaka. Welcome her in a nice manor." Eli had introduced me, and I heard a voice not to located.
  "What does she want? Does she want to be as good as us? Even if she tried, she wouldn't." The voice shot out.
"Nico~Chan! What did I just say!" Eli shouted and dragged Nico from behind the corner.
"Nico... You know what's gonna happen.." Nozomi did that same pose that she did earlier before Nico had flushed a bright red.
"Nozomi..." She said before running.
  I scanned the area, looking at every girl.
Then there. Kotori and Rin.
They're idols?
I shook the thought out of my head.
"Since Ami~Chan is new here, why don't we introduced ourselves!" Another orange haired girl asked. 
"Great idea, Nya~!" Rin had said.
"At lunch!" The orange haired girl had exclaimed.
"I guess.." Eli thought.
"Then it's decided." The orange head had stated. "Let's go!"
