I sat down on a stool. The bartender handed me a glass then poured the usual. I took a swig from the glass as someone yelled my name.
"El Diablo I am in need of your services" A woman called out. I spun around to face her.
"What service would that be miss" I asked. I drank from the glass as she pulled a picture from her jacket. The other mercs in the bar turned to see what the commotion was. The man had black hair with red tips. His eyes were blue and he wore a leather jacket.
"My husband I think he is cheating on me. I fear he wants a divorce. I need the money not him. He needs to die before he can sign a prenup" She explained. I looked at the rest of the room before drinking from my glass. It seemed as if the room was waiting for me to respond. I tapped my finger against the bar signaling the bartender to send a bottle to the back of the bar.
"Follow me miss...." I stopped.
"Catetgate" she replied. I nodded. I walked to the back glass in hand. The girl followed me anxiously. The entire room felt like it had eyes just following me. I held the door the back open letting her walk in first. I shut the door making all eyes in the room turn back to their own conversation.
"Sit down...would you like a drink" I asked.
"No thank you" she replied. She sat in the chair squirming around anxiously. I sat down in a chair across from her and I filled up my glass with vodka.
"Now tell me about your husband" I asked.
"He works during the day and I work at night so I don't know what he does at night. That's when I think he cheats. If you could kill him before he could sign a prenup that would be great. I will pay you a good sum for his death" she replied.
"Where does he work" I asked taking a sip from my glass.
"A hardware store on the east side. Um.. mikes hardware I think" She replied.
"I am familiar with the store. When does he start working" I asked.
"7:00 am he works with the owner Mike. A good time to kill him would be.." I stopped her.
"I will figure out when the right time to kill is. Now tell me what is the ball park for the price" I asked.
"I was thinking you had a price in mind. Your price I will pay for the death. He just needs to die. I don't care how you do it" She replied.
"3 million for the kill" I said picking up my glass. I swished around the vodka. Her eyes widened. "Ofcoirse if you have another price I would be happy to change...after all I love killing" I added.
"No 3 million is enough....when would you like the money and how should I transfer it" She asked.
"When I am in position for the kill I want you to transfer it to my bank account. I don't want to swindle my customers out of money. Now Miss Catetgate when would you like him to be killed by" I asked.
"As soon as possible" She responded quickly.
"Okay stay by your phone in the next couple of days. I will call you when I need my money. Thank you for doing business" I said shaking her hand. We left the back and she left the bar. I sat back down at the bar as the door opened once more. A man in grey with sun glasses looked at me. His eyes I could see through my glasses watched every move I made. The man then turned to someone at his right and began to talk to them. I gulped down the last of the drink before leaving the bar. The man in grey watched as I passed him. I got in my old 67 Shelby mustang and drove off. This car was bullet proof and it could withstand a fall from 4 stories. It is black with neon green stripes on the hood and the top of the car to the bumper of it. I drove to the Catetgate residence and parked across the street. I got out with a camera and climbed up a fire escape to a vantage point. The lights turned on as a car pulled into the driveway. A woman in a black dress stepped out and hurried into the home. I snapped a couple of photos of the woman. "Maybe I could get extra for these photos" I thought to myself. The door closed behind her. The light turned back on upstairs. The two of them were making out. Snapping a couple of photos I called miss Catetgate's cell. It rang 3 times before someone picked up.
