Aden Rush's P.O.V.
"In other news The Ghost stirkes agian, bringing the body count to a total of ten. The town is in a state of shock by these attacks. Poilce forces are tring to narrow down suspects, hopefully they'll have the person held responsible before he strikes agian" The news reporter informed. I shut the tv off with a loud sigh. Only if they knew that we have no supects at all. I'm one of the dectitves in The Ghost case and everythime I turn on the news I always regret it. We have nothing, nada. No finger prints, footsteps, DNA, or witnesses at the crime scenes.
How can we caught someone who's basiclly invisable? There's no way. I placed my head in my hands while slouching down in the office chair that's in the confrence room. Just than I heard the click-clack of heels walk into the room. "You know watching the news doesn't make any of us feel any better about this" Molly Vincent, dectective, told me.
"I know I don't know why i do it to myself" I replied.
" You care" she said simply.
Just than Luke Harris, the forensic phsycologist, entered the room and plopped into the chair across from me. "You guys watch the news" he asked. Why, why did he have to mention that? Luke was like the kid out of the whole team, he didn't let anything effect him much.
"Yea" I replied morbittly.
"Why does Jefferson tell them that we have supects when we don't" he asked. Henry Jefferson was the lead dective in this case, he calls the shots. Even if sometimes they're questionable we don't question him he knows what he's doing. " He doesn't want the pubic to worry to much" Molly stated.
Than Daren Feilds walked into the room while saying "that makes no sense now the public is completely oblivious to the fact that the can be the next victim". Yup, no one question Henry expect Daren. "DAREN" I yelled. Why would he say somethimg like that?
"Hey don't blame me old man you know it's true" he countred.
"Old man? I'm twenty eight".
"I'm twenty six since your older than me that makes you the old man" he stated.
" Way to use some logic" I replied rolling my eyes.
He may be smart at times, but sometimes his IQ can be as high as a seventh grader. Most of the time he can be a good friend when he wants to be, what can I say he has his momments. "You know that you can be very annoying at times" Molly asked Daren.
"Aww Molly that hurt" Daren said holding his heart with a fake sad expression on his face.
"Please Daren" She snorted.
"Atleast I know where I stand now" he stated with a sniffle.
With those last words Henry Jefferson walked into the room with about ten folders piled in his hands. "Lucas Walker" he said while throwing a case folder onto the table.
"Brandon McCane" He said trowing yet another case folder onto the table.
" Jenny Lopez".
"Lilly Milds".
"Ren Peterson"
"Efron Diaz".
With each name he threw their case floders onto the table in front of us, but I knew he wasn't done yet. He contiued down the list while saying " Tony Jackson".
"Katie Martinez".
"Jessica Maldonado".
"And the lastest victim Leo Fuda". Each name was the victim the The Ghost. I starded at Leo's photo, he was so young, he was only eleven years old. Eleven, the same age as my daughter Amanda.
I couldn't imagine if that was her photo staring back at me, it hurt to much with even the thought of it. "Who could tell me something that all the victims share" Henry asked.
"They have nothing in common" Luke infromed.
"Excatly the Unsub has no pattern, which makes him all the more dangours" Henry pointed out.
"How about their race" Molly asked.
"No" Daren stated.
"What are you talking about four of the victimss are Hispanic" Molly asked.
"Jessica Maldonado was Spanish, Katie Martinez was Cuban, Jenny Lopez was Mexican, and Efron Diaz was Dominican" Luke announced.
"They were all of the same race though" Molly argued.
I sighed, she's not seeing the big picture. "Molly he's not targeting people by their race, if you want to go there than Leo Fuda was Italian and Tony Jackson was African American" I announced.
"He's doesn't have a Victim Ology" Daren mummble to hiself.
"Luke what can you tell us about the Unsub with that information" Henry asked.
"He's most likely more interested in the kill, nothing else matters" Luke replied.
Great, Just great so now there's no way of predicting what type of person he'll target next. "How about the times of deaths, any pattern in that" Daren asked. I looked over my notes where it had a little information about each viticm written down. "No Lilly Mild's death and Ren Peterson'd death where five hours apart, but Jessica Maldonado's death and Leo Fuda's death where a week apeart" I announced.
"Nothing matches with the death's" I added.
This is getting so fustrating! "How about the weapon" Like asked. I checked in my notes agian, than I said "Yes and no. Each victim was killed with a knife, but they were all different". I saggered in my seat, atleat we know they next victim will be killed with a knife. Wasn't really helpful infromation, but it was still information. The team followed my lead and even Henry leaned on the table with his haed down.
The next thing I knew a screaming women barrged into the police station. "PLEASE I NEED HELP" she scremed. My team sprang into action, Luke went to go talk to the womean while we watched. He was our best chance to clam her down. I knew he asked her what was wrong because she yelled " I HAVEN'T SEEN MY DAUGHTER IN TWO HOURS AND SHE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HOME AN HOUR AGO". I knew she had to be dead, "he" was on the loose there was no other explanation. "SHE'S ONLY FOURTEEN" the women cried.
I looked at my team mates they knew she was dead too. Luke had to ask what her name was cause the women yelled "MADISON MASON".
"Molly go tell Zena to run a history on Madison Mason" ordered. As soon as the words came out Molly left, Zens was our computer genuis. By now they women was crying into to Luke's sholder. She must think she's dead too, I saw it in her eyes. I also saw hope, hope that she wasn't dead, but I knew that no amount of hope would bring her back.
****
Two hours later we found Madison Mason's boby down at the bottom of hill by a small creek. Her body was stabbed forth five times and deep slashed went along her hand and legs. Her lips were made into a smile, in her hand she help two Lillies, her feet were dipped into the water, and her other hand was placed into her lap. What a sick person, making the girl look happy that she's dead. Even though all the bodies were in a disturbing postion, but this was worse by far. I mean Leo Fuda was found in a baseball feild with a mit and baseball in his hands, but this was far worse.
However, that couldn't even begin with this. The paramedics bagged her body and sent her off to the Morge. It wasn't until she was off the ground unti you could see the pool of blood she laied in. We tried to look for other edvince, but of course there was none. No footprints, fingerprints, DNA, or witnesses. He's just like a ghost. Unbelieveable, there's no way anybody can do that. He'll mess up and leave something behind, he just has to.
