The sun was burning my skin and you could almost hear the sizzle. Ever since Katherine was released the media has been breathing down our necks about The Ghost. Amanda keeps asking me bout weather or not we’re going somewhere with the case. I don’t let her out of the house since I don’t know if she would become the next victim. I drove my usual route to work with the engine purring in my ear.

Of course every cop needs a coffee and that’s something I needed before I went to work. So I walked into the police station with my coffee in my hand sipping it. I walked up to my desk and sat down turning on my computer. Soon Molly came into my office with a donut in her hand. “ Your poor excuse of a friend is at the front door” she spat.
“You don’t have to diss him all the time you know” I stated.
“Well that’s what you do when you hate somebody”.
I just rolled my eyes at her as Ryan came into the room. “Good morning Molly” Ryan said cheerfully.
“That’s detective Vincent to you” she snarled.
“Yes ma’am” he army saluted her.
With that Moly stormed away. “SOOOO what’s up buddy” Ryan asked coming to sit down in the office chair.
“Nothing how about you” I asked.
“Same old same old” he replied.
“So KAtherine wasn’t The Ghost after all” I mentioned.
“Really” he asked.
“Yea”.
“While I only came to say ‘Hi’, but I gotta run” he announced getting up.
“Why you got a hot date” I joked.
“Something like that” he smirked waking out.

I’ve been trying to see if any people found at the crime scenes where at all of then, but of course that didn’t help at all. Soon Daren ran into my office yelling “ WE GOT ANOTHER ONE”. I flew out of my chair and ran down into the cop car Daren was getting in to.

At the crime scene, which was in a gizabo at the park, something seemed very familar about it. A man was hand at one end from the roof in a tux. I kinda looked like he was waiting for his bride to walk don the isle. Then something hit me. “Zena run a check of everyone who was suppose to be married n the gizabo at 72nd park during the last year” I ordered speaking into the head set the whole team had.
“On it” she announced.
“How many people I asked.
“Twenty two” she replied sadly.
“How many where stood up at the alter” I don’t know what made me say it, but maybe it could help.
“One” she stated with joy in her voice.
“Who” I asked.
“I don’t think you’re going to like this”.
“Zena” I warned.
“Ryan Arnolds” she said slowly. Wait Ryan! As in my best friend.
“LET’S GO TEAM BEFORE HE STRIKES AGIAN”. Henry yelled. Just like that we were all speeding to Ryan’s house.

Forces surrounded Ryan’s house so there was no way he can leave without knowing. “Henry, let me talk him” I pleaded.
“Go ahead” he sighed.
“Thank you”. I made my way up to Ryan’s house and let myself in. When I walked into his house it seemed like one of those scenes out of Law&Ordered.
He sat on the couch with all the lights off with a cup of whiskey in his hand staring at the wall. “Ryan” I asked.
“Ah Aiden so glad you made time to see me” he stated.
“Ryan why did you kill all those people” I asked taking a step forward.
“If you haven’t noticed the people were all postioned diffrently “ he stated.
“I know”.
“LET ME FINISH” he snapped.
“Eveyone one I killed represented one of my best memories” he stated.
“But all of those would’ve been perfect if someone didn’t ruin them”.
“What do you mean” I asked unsure.
“Like the girl found by the lake, that’s where I had my first kiss, but she had a boyfriend and he bet the living hell out of me”.
“And with the two guys outside the store, that’s when I had my first beer, but the cops arrested us for underage drinking”.
“The last one is when I was suppose to marry Scarlet, but since you were there you know what happened”. he continued.
As I was about to say something, he cut me off. “SHE LEFT ME WAITING FOR HER! SHE MADE ME STAND THERE LIKE AN IDIOT” he screamed.
“I’m sorry Ryan” I mummbled.
“NO YOUR NOT! YOUR GOING TO ARREST ME! YOUR JUST ANOTHER PERSON WHO’S GOING TO TURN ON ME” he yelled.
“I wouldn’t have to if you didn’t murder thirteen people” I snarled.
“WHAT DOES IT MATTER” he asked.
“THEY’RE PEOPLE” I snapped.
“They were going to die anyway” he announced.
“Why didn’t you kill me then, huh” I asked.
“Because you’re my friend” he said simply.
“Why tell me leads” I asked.
He turned to me suddenly. “I wanted to keep you far away from finding the truth” he stated.
“Why” I asked agian.
“So I wouldn’t have to kill you” before I could say anything be went on.
“I didn’t want it to end it this way” that’s when he pulled a gun out and pulled the trigger like he was shotinh a deer.
I felt blood trikle from my forehead when I hit the floor. I could fintly hear the door slam open and footsteps coming our way. My vision was getting blurry and I could taste blood in my mouth. I never thought blood would taste so matelic, but it did. I could barely feel hands on me, but they were still their. Suddenly I was slowly going into darkness, and that’s when I saw it. I should say her. My wife standing in a white dress with that amazing smile of hers with her hand out. I couldn’t leave though. Who would take care of Amanda? “Don’t worry about her, she’ll be fine. You have to go now, your time is up in this world” my wife’s sweet voice rang in my ears. I trusted her with everything I had, so I took her hand and we headed off into the pure, sparkiling light before us. Even in heaven I could still look out for Amanda. As her gaurdian angel
