Yona of the Dawn Oneshots

Yun X Reader Part 1

This is my first request from shortskirt . I hope it is not too terrible! Please proceed to inform me if you would like me to take in a request! This will fit into the story if you have read the manga. This was intended for a female reader so if there are any issues please tell me!

Just quickly - (F/N) = First Name

The icy wind blew through the trees and shook the horizon. The rain pelted down, in an attempt to wipe away the many sins of humanity. (F/N) longingly looked out the window of a makeshift shelter for the internally displaced citizens of the fire tribe. Her original home was located near the border of the kingdom of Kouka and due to the recent attack by the Kai empire, her village was brought down to the ground, its people massacred by the cruelty of the enemy soldiers.

The village, although lacking in comfort amongst other things, was her home. It held sentimental value to the orphaned girl. Her father and older brother were taken away to the fire tribe castle when (F/N) was young, and her mother died in childbirth. She grew up a young rogue and was rather proud of it. With no one to stop her, she developed her natural skill of agility and began swiftly stealing the rations of soldiers who patrolled the area. She also stole medicine and money amongst other things to give to the villagers. (F/N) was proud that she was able to help her people. One person in particular, stood out to (F/N). A young boy, about her age. Apparently, he lived in the forest along with some other fellow. She had heard stories about him from other villagers who travelled to the neighbouring villages and was deeply intrigued about this boy who could supposedly 'cure anything'. She scoured the forests for weeks before finding his home. When she did, she spied on him and observed his work. After a few weeks, (F/N) began to leave food and medicinal herbs at his doorstep. A few moths past until she was finally caught. The first words spoken to her by that boy remained with her forever.

(F/N) was observing the boy from her favourite tree again, watching to make sure he picked up the medicine. Suddenly, her footing was lost and she plummeted to the hard ground underneath her. THUMP! The sound echoed through the whole forest and (F/N) knew that any moment now, the mysterious medicine boy would appear and most likely flee in fear . Her prediction came true for the most part. Approaching footsteps could be heard and (F/N) braced herself for the consequences.

"Who are you and what have you done? Do you have any idea how stupid that was? You're probably severely hurt! You idiot!"
The boys voice rung through the air and to (F/N) it felt as if time itself had paused.
(F/N) looked up in shame, however, her eyes filled with wonder as she gazed upon the boy she had been observing from a distance for so long. He was shorter than she originally thought. His bright, blue eyes looked absolutely marvellous up close and his apricot coloured hair shone in the sun .Suddenly, (F/N) had come to the realisation that during her observations, the boy had not shut his mouth and continued to scold her. She began to giggle.

"What?"

(F/N) was full on laughing now! This boy, who was always calm and collected from afar had begun yelling to her about safety, a stranger who fell out of a tree. He began to look more than a little upset and immediately, (F/N) shut her mouth and her eyes became dull with regret.

"I'm sorry."

She didn't mean to upset him. Then again, (F/N) was not that good with people, to begin with. Suddenly, a head peeked out from behind a tree. "Oh Yun, I had no idea you had a girlfriend."

And the screaming hence started again. (F/N) smiled. It was like they had their own little family.

After this event, (F/N) came as often as she could to visit the boy, who's name she later learned was Yun and his friend Ik-Soo. For the first time in her life, she felt as if she belonged to a family. However, her habit of stealing had not come to a halt  much to the worry of Yun. He constantly stressed when she was late and would give her check ups after every expedition. (F/N) loved this affection but hated causing him stress.
