Sweet Nuthin (A 1D Fanfic)

Chapter Four:

Dr.Wikes

After I had explained to my mother that it was an accident, she began to calm down. Li had helped me to get home and he was very

patient when I said I forgot my shoes. His arm was around my waist and the other held my hand. He was a kind boy, and a good kisser.

Ha. When we had arrived at first my mother was frantic. I had learned to stay calm myself when this happened. She was like any other

mother. Worried about her children. She asked me tons of things. Such as, honey are you okay? Or, does it hurt? Or, are you scared?

To be honest, I was okay. It didn't hurt. And I'm not scared. I was completely calm. Like I said, I tend to stay calm in situations like this.

Some people would say I would be a good doctor or nurse because I could stay calm and plus I didn't mind blood. Heck, I didn't want to

be a doctor or a nurse. I wanted to have a family!

After we finished at my house, we walked to the doctors. Dr.Wikes was the man who had delivered me. He was the only doctor I had

ever known. He was a family friend as well. He would know what to do. Li held my hand as I climbed the stairs to the small office

building. I knew this office by heart even if I couldn't see. I let go of Li and walked across the small wood paneling to the counter. My

hand found the small bell that called Dr.Wikes. I heard Li step beside me. Then I heard the sound of Dr.Wikes work shoes. Yes. I did

memorize the way his shoes clicked on the wood. I heard the rustle of papers and then a suprised gasp from Dr.Wikes.

"Abby? What have you done this time?" He asked worriedly.

I turned to Li. Then I spoke.

"I fell off my oak tree into the water and now I can't see."I said trying to steady my voice. He sighed.

"Okay. Let's have a look." I heard the creak of the swinging door to my left and I stepped through. Li tried to follow but I heard

Dr.Wikes say,

"Stay here son." Then Dr.Wikes took me into the examination room.
