Niall's pov

"She has what?" I asked the doctor

"I'm sorry but Vanessa have lung cancer" he said

"Can I-I see her?" I stuttered

"Yes you can she's in room 5-b" he said and walked away

I went to Mackenzie and Justin to tell them the news. And Mackenzie didn't take it well... she started cry as she went down to her knees and Justin was comforting her

"I'm going to talk to Vanessa ok?" I said and they nodded

I walk to the elevator knowing it wouldn't be on the first floor cause its just full of a-100 probably. Once I got of the elevator I walked to a nurse to ask where 5-b is, and she said its down the hall and take a right turn. I thanked her and walked away.

After like 10 minutes of figuring out where the room was, I finally found it.

I see her in the hospital bed watching the big bang theory and laughing at something Sheldon probably said

"Hey Nessa" I said walking to her bed and sitting on the nearest chair

"Hey captain" she says for captain Ireland

"Did the doctors tell you?" I asked and she nodded as in yes

"I mean I knew someone in my family was gonna get it" she says

"what do you mean?" I ask

"well you see my mum's mum had cancer and then her brother had it, then me" she says

"Are you saying its spreads?" I ask

"no I mean like some one in your family has gotten it, then it generates to other people in the family. I'm not saying it happens all the time but that's what usually happens" she says

"so how do you feel?" I ask her

"alright I guess. But do my parents know?" she asks

"umm I don't think so let me just give them a ring" I said then I stop to remember I don't have either of their numbers

"what's wrong?" Vanessa asked

"umm I don't have your parents number" I said and she laughed

"ok its 98-876-998-772" she says and I dialed it and told her i'll be right back and exited out of the room

*ring*

*ring*

"hello?" I hear a man asked

"Mr. White?" I asked

"this is he" he said

"hi my name is Niall Horan and I'm Vanessa's boyfriend" I said

"ahh so your the boy my daughter has been talking about" he said

"she talks about me? Never mind I just wanted to tell you that, Vanessa is in the hospital" I said

"what happen to her?" he asked all worriedly

"well earlier in the morning she fainted, and I called 999 and they took her in to tell me she has lung cancer" I said

"she didn't tell you did she?" he asked me

"tell me what sir?" I asked in the nicest way as possible

"Vanessa was diagnose with cancer 2 years ago" he said

"she was what?" I asked

"I'm sorry son, I'll meet you in at the hospital" he said and hung up

I walk into Vanessa's room again and ask "why didn't you tell me?"

"tell you what?" she asked as she turned off the t.v

"that you were diagnose with cancer 2 years ago" I said

"now you found my biggest secret I ever hidden" she said
