"Finally, you're here! For gods sake this is an emergency, did nobody get the message?" Catherine exclaimed.
"Sorry, your majesty, i got lost on the way here. I hope nothing serious had happened." I said politely.
I looked around the room, which was occupied by not only Charles, Catherine and i, but also Francis and Mary, standing alongside Bash and some of the castles guards.
"Oh, you bet something serious happened." Catherine mused.
"There has been attacks on numerous cities in Persia last night, Delara. All of the food in the towns were set on fire and a few people were killed. We believe it was the catholics who disapproved of the intermarriage between you and Charles." Francis spoke up.
I noticed that he had been getting a lot paler these past few days, i wondered if he was feeling alright.
"If that is the case then- we must send troops to help my country, People have lost nearly everything, we must show them that France has finally become an ally of Persia!" I said.
"Now now, we must think about this wisely. France is too weak at the moment to waste troops. The catholics may still be there and we cannot take that risk." Catherine said.
"Well, that is my decision to make and it has already, in fact, been made. I sent 5 groups of soldiers to aid people with any injuries or food supply." I should be hearing back from them tomorrow night. I do not doubt their success, Delara. However, you should remain cautious if catholics are out to get you." Francis said and gave me a weary smile.
"Make sure you're always accompanied by at least one guard, as well." Bash added.
I looked at Catherine from across the mahogany table we were gathered around.
"Thank you, Francis. Persia appreciates your help. I pray that everything goes well." I said and smiled.
"Everything will be okay, Delara. You must be careful wherever you are, though. French court is literally home to catholics." Charles said.
"Precisely." Mary said.
After a few minutes of discussing battle and defense strategies with Francis, Bash, Charles and Mary, we broke the meeting apart to go have dinner in the garden.
