Amethyst pov

You know that feeling you get, when you try to breathe with a fan in front of your face? I love that feeling. You can't breathe, but your face wakes up and your pumped with adrenaline. I think that's why I love it so much, because of the adrenaline. You know fear? The feeling that everyone associates with scared, panicking, cowards. That's not me, I love fear, it gives me adrenaline.

I'm not scared of many things, because the adrenaline takes away the fear, It gives me the power to do anything. I was driving down the road in the small village of forks. It was an eerily, empty road with tumbleweed blocking the pathway ahead. I stopped the small, cramped car and climbed out to move the tumbleweed, when I spotted an ocean to my left. But the ocean was several hundred feet below the cliffs edge.

As I neared the edge, I felt a familiar feeling in my gut, and continued walking, my steps sped up until I abruptly stopped to take my shoes off, and flung them behind me. I ran. I ran as fast as my legs could take me, something was pulling me towards the edge, but I didn't care. I slowed down as I approached the edge, something in my heart was tugging me forwards physically.

It hurts, I felt as if something was trying to rip through the skin on my chest to escape, suddenly it stopped. It was as if the thing in my chest was letting me make the decision of jumping off the tall, stony cliff on my own or not. I decided not to make the decision just yet. I looked at the view, the dazzling, dreamy yet daunting view.

The water below was as blue as the clear, empty sky above it, yet as mesmerising as looking into the eyes of the person you love. It was welcoming me, the water wasn't calm, it was loud, and was crashing against the stone walls of the cliff. I came back to reality and felt adrenaline pulse through my veins as my toes were hanging off the edge. I turned around and walked in the direction of my car, before spinning on my heel and sprinting to the water, I dived, longing to feel the cold water hug my skin.

I screamed in pleasure and joy, awaiting the crash to come as I fell further below. I started to count down, nearing the water "3" the closer I became, the more out of breath I got "2" I just realised, I didn't check to see if the water was shallow or not, in a panicking voice I whispered "1" and felt the cold water seeping into every hole in my body it could reach, and then everything went black...

My eyes opened to bright lights making me squint and quickly sit up. Am I in a hospital? I thought to myself, or, wait a second, I didn't die... did I?

My eyes rapidly adjusted to the light, all I could make out was a woman, but this was no ordinary woman, she was had a yellowy white rim, radiating off her tall thin body, not the kind of thin where you look sick. She had brown wavy hair that trailed down to her hips, she was beautiful. Her green eyes looked down at me with concern "You have been out for over 7 hours" seven hours? I thought to myself. The woman was wearing a miraculous silver dress that clung to her body, puffing outwards by her knees, a white lined pattern striped her dress.
"Hi, I am the fates and welcome to your journey"
