Hello dahlins,
This is the end of Red Flags.
Cheating is never ok. If you've truly fallen out of love, break up or work things out. Don't wait for things to escalate.
I want to write this as a commemoration of strong female characters. Women and girls don't have to spit fire to be strong. They don't have to be outgoing or physically strong.
Caroline, the protagonist, is strong in her own way. It takes strength to try to understand what happens. It takes strength to control oneself and recognize good qualities in someone who isn't doing something good.
It takes strength to stay with a cheater because her children are devoted to their father and likewise.
If you want to read more, checkout Conform, a lgbtq+ story of mine written with the same style.
