UNCERTAINTY

Mihir and Naveen are on their way to the HQ in a jeep.

Naveen: what do you think ..can she be an enemy ? after reading her diary i don't think so ..she knows things the even we have not heard about .. has to be one of us .

Mihir : do not make opinions about her so fast captain .. an enemy can be well prepared and find out information that we don't just to divert us into thinking they are army officers ..she must have obtained this information from some officer.. and its not difficult to buy a diary and write in it .. she could have done that in 2 days ..who knows!

Naveen : Common man .. she's dying there... why did we find her the way we did if she is an enemy !!

Mihir : look , i don't want to argue with you on this .. ill not trust her until i have some solid reason to do so.

They were silent for rest of the ride . 

Naveen had been in this situation before , when a few years back during a mission he was separated from his team and was badly injured and some how landed up at some other battalions camp who refused to believe that he was an Indian soldier .. his experience made him sympathize with the girl ...

But Mihir on the hand was thinking too practically .. that girl had no id on her .. every soldier always carry some sort of id so that in a situation like this one, their fellow soldiers could identify them .. then there was her diary that held information which was completely unknown ..it was hard for him to trust a person like this.

(at the Base )

Dr. Aishwairya : Maj. apart from her recent injuries, she also has marks of some old wounds on the body , many of them .. its like she was tortured or something .. but they look a few years old.

Maj Bhargavi : This is  just getting more complicated by the minute doc .. who is she ? how many secrets does she have? and most importantly ... who did this to her?

Dr. Aishwairya : If only she would wake up .. shes barely breathing now .. she's slipping into a coma .. i just hope she dosen't end up brain dead.. she has answers to all our questions .

Maj. Bhargavi: you're right doc. lets hope the captains find something at the HQ.

(at The HQ)

Mihir: there's nothing here .. we've been searching for hours .. there is nothing about a mission on 10th January 2011 here .. i told you she's lying .. the diary is shit ...just a distraction ..

Naveen : maybe we are looking in the wrong place ... as the mission was related to the murder of a decorated officer we assumed that the case must be classified .. what if its not ?lets look in the section where they keep the general co ops files ..

Mihir :Why do you want to waste your time .. she's an enemy .. accept that .. well hand her over to the military police .. they'll take care of her... why are you so concerned about her.

Naveen is furious at mihir's impatience  and he shouts at him .

Naveen : I am concerned because i have been in her place .. i know what its like when your own people don't believe you.....mihir , i just want to give her the benefit of the doubt ..whoever she is , she's counting her last breaths ,whoever did this to her had a reason to do so ..if she's one of our own , then we are her only hope .. we need to save her.

Mihir wnted to protest but decided against it and they start searching for the file..after a few more hows of puling apart the whole HQ Archives ..Mihir finds the file ..

Mihir : I cant believe ... we spent almost 4 hours searching for a file which has 2 pages in it !!

Naveen : Atleast we found it .. this file might have the names of the officers involved .. we mighnt know the Jane Does name now ..

Mihir : want to read it here or take it back to the base ??

Naveen : lets just read it and then take it back.

Saying this they start reading the file , the first page has a detailed report of the incident that occurred which is some what similar to the entry in the girls diary.The next page has the names and witness accounts of the officers present there.

Mihir : there are two female officers in this list ..Capt.Zoya singh Randhawa & Capt. Ria Sareen .. how do we know which one is our Jane Doe ??

Naveen : The thing more amusing than that is , this report does not have a copy of the court verdict.... a case where a high ranking officer is murdered by his junior , surely went for trial then why doesn't this file have anything related to a trial?

Mihir: you're right! they've only mentioned here that Lt.Pradeep was arrested for murder. but nothing here says if he was punished or faced  Court Martial! that's not normal...

Naveen: I have a gut feel that there is something really fishy about this case... this incident happened 6 years ago .. and we never even heard about it .. under normal circumstances the media go around sniffing about juicy stories like this .. but nothing related to this case was ever heard !

Mihir: are you saying that this case was covered up?! Because if that's so , then this is something way more bigger than just a murder... and whoever that girl is .. she knows a lot about it ..

Naveen: may be This is the reason why she was injured so badly ... lets go back to the base and inform the others.

As Naveen & Mihir Were heading back to the base .. someone hidden deep in the forest was watching their every move .

Person (on the phone) : Boss i think the she's alive .. they know about her .. and it wont be long before they reach us..

Boss: Just keep an eye on them ... its not that easy to find out about us .. don't do anything foolish .. keep your distance and keep me informed.

Both the Captains return back to the base and brief their whole team about the details in the file.

Vansh :Guys ..one thing is clear .. there is way more to the story than what we know.

Payal: finding the case file also proves that the girl is a soldier and not the enemy.

Naveen : well thats up to capt.Mihir to decide if he trusts her now !!

Mihir : i still dont trust her .. but atleast now i believe her.

Raj : But sir How will we find out if she's Capt. Zoya or Capt. Ria ??

Maj.Bhargavi: May be the next entry in the diary might tell us that...wait a minute ... did you just say Capt. Ria Sareen! .... i've heard that name somewhere..
