Blood. I seen blood in my life. But then why am I frozen? I stare at the blood. I try to shake my horrible thoughts out of my head. Let's not jump to conclusions. Someone just probably broke their leg and limped to call 911. Yeah. Wait no, we would've heard sirens. Probably just a bloody nose! Wait, no. The person would at least try to clean it up and it wouldn't make such a mess. Also, my mom or dad would've replied when I called them. Also, both of their cars are here in the driveway so they couldn't have gone out. They would've told me too if they did.

I kept on staring at the floor while Ethan took out his phone and took a picture of the blood just in case if it we needed it. I look at Ethan. Then I glanced at the blood. I took a few steps forward and I took a turn around the corner.

The blood traced to my parent's room. The door was wide open but I was too far away to see what inside the room. Ethan was behind me, shaking. He doesn't like blood, especially when it comes to this stuff.

Murder, kidnapping, I don't know. Maybe even worse.

" I am going to call 911. Just in case. It is good to be safe," he taps on his phone, dialing 911. I took a step further. Step, by step.

"Mom?" I yell loud enough for her to hear. "Dad?" My voice trembled. The blood was just drips of blood on the wooden floor. Wet, fresh blood. I thought. I was just a foot away from the room.

My eyes are closed, not wanting to face reality. I open my eyes slightly. Then, I shut my eyes. This is even worse than my nightmares. At least they are not real. I open my eyes again. I stare into the room.

I saw something I regret seeing. I had mixed feelings. My thoughts were jumping up and down, trying to get into place. Just then, my head became light with the image stuck in my head. Someone, help! I scream in my head.

I tried to scream help but it came out as a whisper. My head and body struck the floor. As I close my eyes, the last thing I heard was the screeching noise from Ethan screaming CAROL! Then, at that exact moment, all my thoughts, disappeared.
