Campsis was running so fast, she didn't look where she was going. She was sure that there were footsteps following her as well. She ran and hid behind a giant bush, trying to get a better look at whoever was following her.

She peeked through the bushes and saw a girl. She looked only a few years older than her - maybe 17 or 18. She had long brown hair the colour of milk chocolate with natural golden streaks and had a bow strapped to her back. She wore a white blouse with white wavy flaps of her blouse waved in the wind. She wore black jeans and a half-up-half-down style in her hair.

"Maybe she was the one hunting me?" Campsis asked herself. But the girl looked as scared as Campsis felt. Just as Campsis was about to crawl to the side of the bush to get a better look, an arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her up, a hand from behind her covered her mouth, stifling her scream. She kicked and punched the person trying to take her. The girl who Campsis was watching whipped her head around and ran towards Campsis and the person. Campsis started screaming even more, but she couldn't- the man's grip tightened on her mouth to the point where she couldn't breathe. Her face became red as she struggled to get a wisp of air or do something, but she couldn't. Suddenly the man's hand filled with this greenish clear liquid, and he splashed it on her face, letting his hand lose off her mouth for just a second, letting the water trickle into her mouth. Trembling, she felt herself start losing control of what she was doing as her world became darker and darker as if Death's hand was reaching out to her and all she had to do was grab it.  Then girl ran towards the man and kicked him while she was in mid-air. The man jumped back and let go of Campsis as she flew out of his grip and onto the ground, trying to stay conscious, gasping for air. She finally got better and sat up, getting a better view at the man.

He was wearing a huge green-blue coat, and he smelled of something that made Campsis dizzy - but she didn't know what. He had a scar on his left cheek and had messy, dark hair. He wore a scarf that looked like... a snake. Campsis started to back away, but she didn't want this girl who was saving her life to get hurt doing so.

She flicked her wrist, and her golden bracelet turned into a sword in her hands. She felt exceedingly dizzy, but she didn't care. She had to help. She lunged at the man.

** Another short chapter, I know. I'm sorry. But they're getting longer, I promise! Hehe.
