My name is Cara, aka the Wave NightMare. NightMares such as myself are monsters from the spiritual world. 200 years ago when the portal that separated the human world from the spiritual world was broken, over millions of monsters and creatures fled out to the human world. A war started and the monsters got scared so they separated from each other. Each race claimed a town and cities to live in. Humans now devote themselves to killing us. Most monsters kill humans but... most don't, and most just do it to live...
NightMares don't kill to live... but we do have to take something from humans to live, "their dreams and sometimes their sanity". As NightMares we have to break into people's dreams and create a nightmare with their memories. Once we get one scream out of them we can leave and stay alive. If there is no scream, we die. Every NightMare has to get a scream every 28 days, there are no excuses to get out of doing it. Most NightMares find it fun so they stay longer and scare them more for their own enjoyment.
NightMare's claimed Akihabara, the Electric Town. Of course for humans it's fun and electric... but for NightMares we're more occupied on trying to stay alive and not be hunted. NightMares took over all of Tokyo but main head courters are in Akihabara. NightMares like to stay close so they have more time to get a scream. There are 2 sides of Akihabara, the people trying to kill us claimed the left side of the town, NightMares claimed the right. The people trying to kill us call themselves the NightMare Execution Organization, NEO for short. Their goal is to kill all NightMares and stop fear. They don't realize fear will never go away. Elite NightMares created a place where all weak and strong NightMares can go if attacked. The NightMare Society, NS. They are similar to NEO but NS gives us NightMares a person with information on them every month so we can get a scream and live. NS mainly fights against NEO if big fights break out or if a territory is in danger, and of course if another NightMare is being hunted .
NightMare Ranks go by how strong a NightMare is. NEO puts us into ranks so they can send out the right people to kill us. We use these ranks given to us as well, for us they decide if we can join NS and fight for all of the NightMares. Rank 1 is the lowest, for a normal NightMare it goes by a 1-4 ranking. For Elite NightMares the rankings go by A-D. If your A-D you can work at NS and get more protection. I'm currently a B rank. There are only a few D ranks, not over 10. There is one more rank, E rank. If you ever meet an E rank, it'll be the END of you.
