Chaesong was mad. No, she was beyond mad. She was dumping her friend as soon as she got home since she was her only ride. Everyone knows that Louis Vuitton is a much better brand than stupid Gucci. Yes. A tragic story but she, Im Chaesong, was dragged into a Gucci store against her free will.
She cursed her friend in her head silently. She knew Chaesong thought Gucci was an inferior brand compared to Louis Vuitton yet here she was right in the center of hell. Her friend, Eunseo, punched Chaesong's arm playfully.
"Aw. Lighten up, you grouch." she giggled as she looked at Chaesong's scowling face.
"How can I 'lighten' up if I'm right in the middle of enemy territory?" Chaesong replied, shaking her head in disbelief.
At that moment, the girls heard what could only be described as a manly shriek. Alarmed, both the females shot glances at a strange man clad in a leopard print fur coat in the middle of freaking out over some of the newer items. He had a suspicious air to him, although that could have just been the black surgical mask and large sunglasses that covered most of his face.
Chaesong wrinkled her nose at the male's choice of clothing.
"Ew. He looks like he stepped out of that PPAP video. Who would actually wear that?" she muttered under her breath.
Suddenly, she heard a sharp gasp from Eunseo.
"Oh. My. God. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod." The words came tumbling out of the shorter girl.
Chaesong glanced at her and wondered if she was having a brain aneurysm. Eunseo grasped Chaesong's arm with a squeal and shook her.
"Don't you realize who we are in the presence of?!"
"Um. A person. With horrible fashion sense if I might add." Chaesong answered with a short shake of her head.
"nO. We are in the presence of a legend!" Eunseo snapped back indignantly.
Chaesong rolled her eyes at the frantic girl and said, "Uh huh and I'm the aunt of freaking Bruno Mars."
"He's freaking Kim Taehyung!" she hissed back.
Chaesong was not impressed, whoever adored Gucci like this man - who clearly did - was not a legend in her eyes.
However, to say she was completely ignorant of the world of Kpop was not true. Obviously she had been exposed to it considering it was freaking everywhere.
She was aware of the ever increasingly popular BTS group. And she secretly adored Jin's terrible jokes and admired Suga's savagery. However, she was not a fan of V's Gucci obsession.
She continued to watch Eunseo's mini freak out episode in amused silence before saying, "If you admire him so much, why don't you go and talk to him?"
Eunseo's head snapped towards her direction.
"Are you kidding me? I can't just walk over there and talk to a freaking legend!"
"Uh. Yeah you can. And besides wouldn't he like to interact with his beloved fans?"
As their gaze travelled back to the man in peculiar clothing they saw that some of his other fans had gathered up their courage to go interact with the star.
Finally, Eunseo sucked in a deep breath and walked towards his general direction. The crowd around the man was starting to grow as more fangirls were alerted that their 'future husband' was in their vicinity.
Suddenly, Jin appeared at the door, not looking very pleased with Taehyung's predicament.
"Yah! How many times do I have to tell you not to wander off on your own? You know that's dangerous!" the older man said, his words dripping in disappointment.
"Sorry! There were new items that were released and I needed to see!" the other male wailed back.
That statement unsettled Chaesong.
"WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO SEE FREAKING GUCCI WHEN LOUIS VUITTON IS SO MUCH BETTER?" she yelled out, unable to keep in her opinions to herself any longer.
Many were startled by her sudden outburst but the one that was the most surprised was V himself. The vocalist whipped around to face the offender. He stared at the blue haired girl who had tarnished the brand so.
"How could you say that?" he yelped out with a sort of kicked puppy look in his eyes.
Chaesong couldn't help but feel bad after seeing such a helpless look on a grown man's face. However, she couldn't back down now, not at the stake of her pride.
"It's true! Louis Vuitton is a higher caliber line than Gucci." she replied
"No. Gucci is so much better." the male shot back, fumbling for the correct words. "It's much more decorative."
"Hmph." Chaesong was not impressed. "Decorative? I think you mean it looks like my blind grandmother designed it."
"Hey. Hey! Break it up you two!" Jin's voice carried over to the two bickering children, halting their heated argument. Harsh glares from the couple were thrown at the interrupting male.
"I appreciate you trying to stop a fight from breaking out but shove off, Grandpa." Taehyung growled out, not very pleased at the disruption.
Jin was getting ready to retaliate at the biting comment from the usually easy going male when suddenly, Eunseo piped up.
"I'm terribly sorry for my friend's behavior. She's not having a very good day, I'm afraid." she said in an apologetic manner.
Taehyung glanced at the petite girl that had the guts to speak up to a group of pissed off people in a middle of a vehement quarrel. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure in front of his many fans and for the sake of the cute girl that spoke up. He turned to faced towards the gathering crowd in the store and bowed deeply.
"I'm sorry. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience." he said.
He adjusted his mask and glasses before turning back to Eunseo.
"I'm especially sorry to you for making you have to go through that and stopping us. That was stupid." he murmured out to the blushing girl.
Eunseo let out an embarrassing squeak due to the attention she was receiving from the celebrity that she had admired for so long. She frantically rifled through her pockets in search of a piece of paper and a pen. Her search was fruitful as she held out the sought for items triumphantly. With shaking hands, she gave them to the man and asked in a breathless tone, "May I please have an autograph?"
Taehyung looked at her in surprise before letting out a breathy chuckle.
"Of course. Anything for the wonderful lady." he said as he signed the scrap of paper.
The other girls looked on with envy at the couple, wishing it was them that was at the receiving end of attention from the handsome man. Some looked with what looked like murderous intent in their eyes.
Chaesong shot all the girls with death glares of her own, daring them to even think of hurting a hair on her friend's body.
As Eunseo got back her prized autograph, she snatched the pen and before anybody could react she scribbled down her number on Taehyung's hand.
The other fangirls started to react in outrage but Eunseo was swift in her actions. She grabbed Chaesong's hand and they were both out of the store in a blink of an eye. Eunseo could only hope that she ever had contact with this perfect human being ever again while Chaesong hoped quite the opposite.
Jin and V looked after the girls, impressed that the petite girl would show such initiative.
Taehyung smiled softly and stared back down at the inked numbers written in quick strokes on his hand. He knew for a fact that this meeting was definitely not the last.
