Chapter 3. Good Times

I hopped in the car sadly trying not to cry. What's wrong? My mom ask. I don't want to go, I sighed. Well hey we'll be back,  I just need to go somewhere to get a job Ok? She said to comfort me. I smiled and said Ok. I felt a little better. At least I didn't miss out on the school dance.

I walked into the gym handing the guy my V.I.P ticket cause I had good grades, I had on a purple strapless dress with sparking silver high heels on. I felt like the shit since I was a nerd. Guys stared at me as I walked through the crowds trying to find my crew. Heyyy Corrina! Saids Nielah. Heyyy I hugged her. Ayee girl you look goodddd! Said Linà. Thaaank you, y'all do too I smirked. Ooomg look there's Kendell! Amber says excitingly. I turned around, he looked good. He had on a white shirt that said YMCMB in red letters with a gold Rolex watch, and red high top All★Star Converses. I blushed and he looked up, I turned around quickly. Girl you need to stop being so shy and talk to him! Said Nielah. I covered my face and said I'm scared man... Like I never just went up to somebody and said "hey I like you so wassup?" They all laughed, well its not that hard, here you want me to go ask him if he thinks you're cute? Said Linà. Umm... Ok... I said unsure, and ONLY that! I yelled. Okok gesh, she replies. Of course its not hard for her to approach a popular kid cause she is one!

Hey can I ask you something? Linà approaches Kendell. Oh uh sure, he replies.  You see that Lil redbone over there in the purple dress? Oh yeah, Kendell said. Do you think she's cute? Linà asked curiously. Oh yeah... She's pretty. Kendall replies. Aww Ok well thank youuuu, y'all have fun linà smiles and walks away calmly then ran into me and said HE THINKS YOU'RE PRETTY GIRL!! I started blushing so hard my cheeks turned blood shot red! Oh really I played it cool. Yessss girl, now go talk to him she cheerfully says, uh nah... Not now. Maybe tomorrow. Ughhh girl we could be dead tomorrow! Tomorrow's isn't promised youno!? Said linà. True that, Nielahs blurts out. Awhlll shut up. I be inside 24/7 I ain't dying no time soon, I said with a confident attitude. Oh pshh girl please you have to ride the bus home with a wild bus driver! I laughed and said man y'all leave me alone let's go danceeee! I said cheerfully Ayeee Ok my girls said.

*sigh* it was fun that night with my girls... I did end up talking to Kendell... I felt SO proud of myself cause I had the guts to approach a cute popular kid in front of hundreds of people! I told him I liked him and would like to get to know him. He had suuuuch a dreamy voice it was like... Angels singing! But he said he'd like to get to know me too! Guess that's another reason why I felt so happy. Eh it wasn't that bad coming out of my shell... Maybe I should do it more.
