CHAPTER 4

"Haaaaay finals na next week" Nessa said sighing "tapos thursday na ngayon. Nakapag review ka ba Kia?"

"Dugo't pawis na binigiyan ko dyan sa review na yan, akala mo ba! Waaaaah kunti nalang susuko na talaga utak ko" I said exaggerated hahaha

"Oo, kunti nalang din naman gagraduate ka na kaya sumuko ka na hahahahaha" haaaay nako ket kelan talaga ang sarcastic nitong si Vanessa "ba't naman kasi nag psychology ka pa kung maloloka ka din naman pala?"

"Kasi nga..."

"Parents mo, I know"

"Alam mo naman pala ba't mo pa tinatanong?"

"Gusto ko bakit ba! Anyway, malapit na tayo mag graduate at malapit na din birthday mo! Yey!" she said with excitement as if there's something exciting about it haaay "So, ano plano? It's not just any birthday its your 18 birthday! You're a débutant girl!"

"Haaay di ko nga naisip yan, papaalala mo pa!"

"At bakit? Ha? Birthday mo wala lang sayo? And take note debut mo yun noh!"

"I don't have any plans okay?!" just to make it clear.

"Ay ang corney mo naman! Kaya naman ng parents mo bigyan ka ng debut party ah" oh yeah I forgot to tell you, she knew my family background kasi their family has some secrets too haha

"I know, I know. Ako lang may ayaw, sinabi ko na sa kanila yun and they agree"

"Di ka man lang pinilit or something?"

"The only person na mapilit is you Nessa"

"Ang corney mo talaga Kiara Gil Encarnacion Monteverde!" she said in a seriously load voice. So me? --> O_O ayan. Na sa library kaya kami!

"Wow! Makakumpleto naman ng name madam wagas! Eh sa ayaw ko nga eh! At pwede wag mo naman pagkalandakan weird kong name?" its more like a statement than a question when I said that.

"Sorry sorry, ba't kasi ayaw mo? Masyado mo naman ginagawang boring like mo girl"

"Haaaay I just don't want to celebrate my horrible date of birth hahaha joke! Basta!" half meant hahaha

"Ayaw mo ba ng parties? Alam mo, tagal na tayong friends pero never pa kitang nakasama sa kahit anong event, ever. Maliban nalang sa school events, pili pa" she sound curious now.

"Mmmn well..." I pause for a moment "I like masquerade. Parang ang cool lang nun kasi you  can dress up then hide your face ng mask if you're too shy"

"Hindi ganun purpose nung mask adik. Eh bat di ka mag masquerade debut party?" so ano pinipilit talaga nya ako?

"Ayaw ko nga! End of discussion. Papasa ko na tong research ko kay sir, ikaw ba tapos na?"

"Huh?! Tapos ka na? Di ko man lang na pansin na gumagawa ka nyan ah huhu pahintay naman ako, please please please?" she earnestly beg na parang si puss in boots hehe

"Okay fine, pero never mo na ko tatanunging about dyan sa birthday birthday na yan ha?"

"Deal!" She said majestically and full of determination to finish her research.

As she continue her research I start daydreaming haha my unbreakable habit. Nakatingin ako sa may window and watch the other students as they pass by. Pero bat nga ba ayaw ko ng debut? Simple, gastos lang yan at kaartehan. But this is my only chance to experience masquerade party. Kaso..... mmmmmn

"Excuse me miss, tapos ka na sa book?" ako ba kausap? Nilingon ko, a guy I don't recognize. Baka transfer student. The hell i know, ang laki kaya ng school na to. Sasagutin ko ba? But I don't talk to strangers. Is it really applicable right now?

"Hoy Kiara yung book daw" Nessa said snapping me out of my thoughts.

I turn to her then inusog ko nalang ng walang imik yung book sa direction nung 'guy I don't recognize' then balik ulit sa site seeing by the window, as if may site eh noh.

"Ay sensya na, na distorbo mo lang yung daydream ng isa dyan. Kunin mo na yang book" Nessa said dun sa guy.

The guy said "Thanks" kung kanino man then I heard him left.

"Grabe ka, hindi mo ba kilala yun?"

"Mmn?" I have no idea what she's talking about, lipad pa ata utak ko.

"Sabi ko yung guy kanina, hindi mo ba kilala yun. Haay naku Kiara" sabi ni Nessa na parang she pity me. OA na naman tong si Vannesa

"As if I know so much in this school when it comes to people" obvious ba? Sya na nga nag sabi na wala akong social life diba?

"I know. Yan ka na naman sa english mo na out of this world eh, iwan mo yan sa bahay nyo" iwas nga pala dapat ako mag english pag wala sa bahay lol

"Alam mo naman pala eh. Eh ikaw, yan ka na naman sa mga tanong mong makukulit"

"So? Ano ka ba, kilalang kilala kaya yun dito!" eh ano naman?

"Why, did he commit a crime?" haha I'm just messing with her.

"Baliw! Wala ka talaga sa ayos girl! Crush ko nga yun eh hihihi" she said na may kilig factor pa, kaloka

"Ikaw din naman wala sa ayos. Lahat naman crush mo eh! At pwede tapusin mo na yang ginagawa mo? Gusto ko na pong umuwi"

"Oo na, last na to promise hihi" sows pa cute pa. But she is cute. Vanessa and I are so different. She's cute and pretty,  I'm not. She's so girly, im too lazy for that. She's like a queen bee at this school and I'm like the nerd haha ang opposite diba? Pero di naman ako nerd manamit or anything ha, hindi din ako nerd! She had other friends dito sa school pero sabi nya mas gusto nya kong kasama kasi she can be herself daw with me, ang drama eh noh but I understand her. Kaw ba naman ang muse ng college namin haha, sa college kasi namin she's the muse I'm the artist, the rest ng officers sa college of psychology di ko na kilala. I know them by face pero hindi na by name, mahina ako pag dating sa pag alala ng name. I told you, im not a genius. Pero you might ask anong purpose ng muse? Pag University Intramural Sports Festival or Intrams for short, every colleges sa school namin nag lalaban laban sa sports and at the end of this event may parang mini carnival sa school namin, and merong Mr. & Ms. University competition, so of course meron syang partner diba pero di ko kilala. Like I told you, I barely know someone here at school. That night din ang awards night for the winning colleges.

"Yey! I'm done!" kala mo kung anong dream na na fulfill nya eh nung sinabi nya yan haha

"Tara bilis pasa na natin" bumalik na kami sa college building namin para ipasa sa prof namin yun research paper. Have I told you I like research? I don't know why but I find it fun, or anything na nagagamit ko hands ko and papers that's why i also like arts :)

The weekend past by, na sa bahay lang ako studying for the finals week. Di ako lumabas ng bahay ever, minsan pumupunta si Vanessa samin to study with me. Then the finals came wooooh! Lahat na ng ritual ginawa ko na pero of course there's only one source of wisdom right? The omnipotent omnipresent omniscient One! Hihi. I did all I can to pass all the exams, cause im aiming for summa cum laude sana pero di ko alam kung makakaabot ako. But I'm still hoping, and another thing, my parents don't actually know that I was aiming for summa haha
