"And done!" I say as I write the last answer to my math homework on my worksheet. I drop my pencil and run to my laptop. I carry it onto my bed and lay before it, balancing it precariously on the edge of my full mattress. I wait impatiently as I pull up the search browser. When the screen appears I quickly type in the only thing keeping me sane, wattpad. I scroll through the results and select one that will take me to my account. I click on that icon that says "log in" ans type in my user name. @daylagreen01. I quickly skim through the latest news when I see that my favorite wattpad book has been updated. I mentally scream a sigh of relief and move my mouse icon over the cover of @onemoreauthor's latest book. There are some books out there that are cheesy and repeat the plot line of other books, but @onemoreauthor's stories are all different and contain complete new ideas. I wonder how @onemoreauthor does it as I read the last chapter. A tear slips down my cheek, but I still keep reading. I sigh as I read the last words,
"I looked into her eyes and saw the part of me I thought was lost. She saved me, I saved her, we saved each other."
I type in my comment on the last page:
@daylagreen01: You are an amazing writer, please keep writing!
I smiled to myself as I upload my comment. I log onto my page to see that I too have a comment waiting. I frown to myself, no one ever comments on my stupid stories. I think I only have one chapter posted, and it got like, two reads. Pull up my comment to see who it was from. I almost let my laptop fall off my bed when I realized it was from @onemoreauthor. I quickly skimmed the comment:
@onemoreauthor: You should update your story
I mentally screamed and replied back:
@daylagreen01: Why, do you like it?
@onemoreauthor: No, I'm just curious how it ends.
That simple comment completely shattered my world. It felt like someone just popped my happy bubble. I furiously typed back:
@daylagreen01: Why? whats wrong with it?
@onemoreauthor: It follows the plot line of every single romance story ever written by a girl.
@daylagreen01: How do you know I'm a girl?
@onemoreauthor: It says so in your bio.
@daylagreen01: You read my bio!?!?!?
@onemoreauthor: Didn't know i wasn't allowed to.
@daylagreen01: Well I guess you can technically. Look, if you know I'm a girl, can you tell me what you are?
@onemoreauthor: Why? trying decide if you will fall head over heels for me or not?
@daylagreen01: No, just curious.
@onemoreauthor: Look, its getting late, I have to go.
I glance over at my clock and see that we have been talking for over an hour.
@daylagreen01: Just tell me!
I have to wait until he comments back:
@onemoreauthor: I'm a boy...goodnight Day.
And with that, he signs off.

"Dayla! If you re not up and ready in fifteen minutes I'm leaving without you!" my mom yells at me from downstairs. I groan loudly and move my head. I hear a strange crinkling noise coming from under my cheek. I lift my face and find that I had fallen asleep on my keyboard. I feel my cheek and find that I have the keys imprinted on my face.
"Ten minutes!" I hear my mom yell again. I swing my legs over the side of my mattress and stand. I put my hand on my foot board to help me balance. My head is spinning and I feel like I'm going to throw up.
"Mom!" I yell. I hear her footsteps approach my door. She sweeps into my room in one solid movement. Her face masks a look of complete horror as she grabs my elbow and helps me lay down again.
"Your as pale as a sheet!" she practically screams, "Do you feel okay?" she asks.
"Yeah mom, I feel great, Just dandy!" I say my voice laced with sarcasm. My mom gives me a look and I mutter my apologies.
"Well, I guess you will be staying home today."
"That would be the assumption." she gives me one more look before she closes the door behind her. I her the click as it closes. I roll over on my bed, when I her the ping of my laptop. I reach over and open it. My conversation with @onemoreauthor last night pops up. I scroll to the top and see I have a new message. I take a deep breath when I see it is from him:
@onemoreauthor: Good morning @daylagreen01
I reply as fast as possible:
@daylagreen01: Morning, why aren't you in school?
@onemoreauthor: I should be asking you the same question
@daylagreen01: Sick, your turn
@onemoreauthor: Done with school
So he's older...at least that's what he implies with his statement.
@daylagreen01: LUCKY!!!
@onemoreauthor: There is nothing lucky about me
I go to reply, but he has logged off. What did he mean? The guilt is eating me alive. What if I offended him? what if he never talks to me again? I close up my laptop and close my eyes, welcoming well needed rest.
