All week, we've watched both producers and stars of both 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'Teen Wolf' post their appreciation for all of the fans' hard work throughout the years. 

Just yesterday, a glimmer of excitement was sparked within us as Julie Plec, producer of 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'The Originals', took to Instagram to post a throwback picture of some of the cast on a yacht, accompanied by a teasing message.

She went on to confirm that she is hoping to bring someone new to 'The Originals', following in the footsteps of Riley Voelkel and Summer Fontana, along with the return of Nathanial Buzolic - who play Freya​, Hope and Kol Mikaelson on the show.

Plec has yet to announce or tease any possible names, and it seems as though she hasn't told her cast either.

Joseph Morgan spoke to BuzzFeed just this morning and told us that he is 'excited' to find out who their new co-worker may be and that the cast had gotten together to brainstorm and guess who will be added to the family.

He states that, "The cast and I have been brainstorming together, and there is one particular person we hope it may be."
