The Curse
In the depths of a dark forest resides a castle. An enchantress seeking refuge from a powerful storm stumbled upon this dwelling. As she approached the door, a man opened it and stopped her. "The weak and ugly are not allowed within my fortress wench, go, leave this place and never come back." She stepped back, shocked by his words, but a calm anger replaced it swiftly. "You, Gajeel Redfox, are the one who is weak and ugly. You have a warmth within, shielded by ice strong as steel. Mend your unseen wounds, allow a love to grow and be accepted as you shall be. Until you manage this, you shall be the beast within." As the curse was cast, the enchantress vanished. Gajeel felt a sudden dread wash over his being. He ran to his room, and was appalled at the sight of himself in the mirror. Shining iron scales had replaced flesh, horns grown anew, talons and a spiked tail now part of the formerly handsome Prince. Enraged, he tore his room apart and bellowed a hollow roar of pain and agony.
