Alrighty then. Ok so this story takes place after the Second Giant War and after season 2 of Supergirl. If you haven't seen Supergirl, or Flash, or any CW superhero show, I suggest watching one of them before you read this. They're all super duper duper good. *cough cough* Supergirl is the best *cough cough* And as River Song always said, "Spoilers"

Now continue reading because I promise you it's not crappy. Well at least I hope so.

"Um, Annabeth?" asked Travis.

"Yes, Travis?" Annabeth asked.

Annabeth heard Travis sigh. "Another Hermes kid went missing again." Annabeth's desk chair swiveled around to face the unhappy twin.

"Who was it this time?" Annabeth asked.

"One of the newer kids. He came a few weeks ago. Patrick." Annabeth spun around in her chair. "Who knows who's next. For all we know it could be Connor." His voice cracked.

"I save the world twice, I survive the deepest, darkest pits of hell, Apollo is a clueless mortal, and now random Hermes children are being kidnapped. Do the fates ever give us a break?" Annabeth said exasperatedly.

Travis chuckled. "Knowing you and Percy, you're probably still going to be saving the world at the age of 60."

"That is if we live that long. Anyway, what do you think is the cause of all these Hermes kids going missing?" She asked.

Travis shrugged. "I don't know. You're the smartest person in Camp. Everyone's lookin' at you here. But there have also been some rumors about Hermes going MIA on Olympus."

Annabeth stood up and paced around the Athena Cabin, her thoughts running at unimaginable speeds. "Someone or something needs Hermes to do something and the only way they can make him do whatever they want Hermes to do, they're taking his children. And they need him for something only Hermes can do. Otherwise they would've found another God for the job. But I might be wrong"

"Oh my gods you're a genius, Annabeth. I'll go tell the news to Chiron."

"No, I'll go. And don't tell anyone else about this until its confirmed by Chiron."

"Sure. And Chiron'll probably listen to you better anyway. See ya Annabeth. And thanks," he said then ran off.

As Annabeth was walking towards the big house, a blue.....thing popped up right in front of her. It looked like floating blue and black water forming a spiral. Demigods started crowding around the thing. Then all of a sudden, another one popped up just a few yards away. Annabeth furrowed her eyebrows and thought. Could it be? she thought.

Annabeth grabbed a pencil from behind her ear and threw it right at the thing.

And it came out from the other side.

The demigods started murmuring and whispering.

Annabeth reached out to put a hand in what she thought was a portal of some sort.

"Annabeth what are you doing?" Yelled Leo from the crowd.

"Relax, I know what I'm doing," she said. And slowly she stuck her hand into the portal-thing and watched her hand resurface at the other portal. All the demigods' eyes were on her. It was silent.

Annabeth put her hand further into the portal. Then she walked through it.

And she came out the other side.

"Oh my gods that's so cool!"

"Can I try?"

"I call dibs on going first!"

"What! No way!"

"Hey! GUYS! SHUT UP!" Annabeth yelled. The demigods silenced, their yells turned into whispers. "As cool as I think that portal thing is, I don't think it's a good idea for anyone to go into it."

"But you came out fine," said Leo.

"I know. But think about it. What if one of them just disappears as one of you are going through. What happens to the rest of your body? Where does it go? For all we know, these could be the cause of the missing Hermes kids. They could walk through these, and it takes them somewhere else. If you want to try it, I'm not stopping you, but just be careful."

"She's right," said Malcolm. Annabeth gave him a small smile. Slowly, the excited demigods left.

Annabeth stood still, analyzing the portal. It wasn't exactly a portal. But more of a breach.

Then suddenly they both disappeared, just as she was about to put her hand through it. She paused for a second, chastising herself for not listening to herself.

Annabeth continued her walk to the big house.

"Hey, Wise Girl," said Percy as he caught up to Annabeth. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

"Hey, Seaweed Brain."

"Whatcha up to?"

"I'm heading over to the big house to tell Chiron something. I was talking to Travis earlier today and I think we have a lead on the missing Hermes children."

"That's great!" he said and skipped in front of her. "Could you tell me?"

Annabeth cleared her throat and mimicked a deep voice. "I'm sorry sir but that information is classified." Percy laughed.

"That was kinda hot."

"I try," Annabeth said and winked at him. They both burst into laughter.

Once they reached the Big House, Percy said, "See you around, Wise Girl," and kissed her.

"Bye Seaweed Brain."

Annabeth walked into the big house and saw Chiron playing pinochle on the ping pong table with none other than Dionysus.

"Chiron?" Annabeth asked. Dionysus groaned in annoyance. Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Yes Annabeth?" Chiron asked, ignoring Dionysus.

"I think we may have a lead about the missing Hermes children."

"Please excuse me Dionysus. I'm afraid that this is more important than a game of pinochle."

"Whatever," he said while making a can of Diet Coke appear.

Annabeth followed Chiron into a seperate room. Chiron looked at her to signal her start.

She took a deep breath and said, "So there have been rumors around camp about Hermes also going missing on Olympus and I thought that if his children are going missing too, then maybe someone, or something, needs Hermes to do something and the only way to make him do that 'something' is to take his children hostage."

Chiron looked deep in thought. "Very good Annabeth. This information will be very useful. Spread the news to the rest of Camp will you? And if you find out anything else come to me first."

"Thank you. And of course, Chiron."

Annabeth walked out of the big house to find the Aphrodite children. They could spread news fast.

Meanwhile, in the Big House, Dionysus sighed and said, "I hate to admit it but that girl is extremely smart."

"Yes, yes she is. And we are lucky to have her here, and on our side," Chiron responded.
