Shit, shit, shit! He thought to himself. This is a situation he's found himself in several times before. Right now, he's making a strategic plan to escape this unknown apartment with a stranger, who probably didn't give him her real name, laying right beside him. It's currently 3 AM and he must be at the station in 4 hours. He slowly tries to get up and the movement of the bed causes the beautiful brunette to wrap her arm around him. In some type of way, unknown to even himself, he got her to end up hugging a pillow instead of him and he got up from the bed. The skill of remembering where he threw his clothes is something he picked up after his 10th one-night stand. Maybe it was his 14th. He can't quite remember but he quietly gets to his phone and successfully picks up the rest of his belongings and makes it out of Jessica's apartment? Or was it Jan? Jennifer maybe? It was something with a J that he can remember.

There is nothing better than the remorse he felt the first time he couldn't remember a woman's name after he had sex with her. Then after it happened again another 50 thousand times he stopped feeling like that. Of course, 50 thousand is a bit of an exaggeration and it's impossible. Once out, he gets on his bike and rides all the way home to make it just in time for his alarm to go off.

"Hey Kane!" Marcus' best friend Jake calls out to him. "I'm having a small get together today to celebrate my promotion to detective."

Jake has always been behind Marcus. During high school Marcus had the more advanced classes and the captain position on the school's baseball team. It's not like Marcus is fucking Albert Einstein but let's say that he could've gotten into Harvard if he wanted to. "I'm sorry man but I'm beat."

"So, what was her name?" he asks already knowing his best friend's behavior and his latest routines.

"What are you talking about? Who?"

"I don't know. You tell me." Jake walks over to his now fellow detective and crosses his arms. "What's the name of the hottie that kept you up last night. Was it a repeat because I remember you telling me that you 'wouldn't repeat unless it was out-of-this-world good'." Jake smirks knowing he's already getting to him.

"Alright alright!" Marcus says putting both his hands up, palms facing Jake. "She looked like a movie star."

"Wow she was th-" but Marcus interrupts.

"No! Well I mean she was gorgeous but- sh- that's how I remembered her name because it's the same as a movie star who she just happened to look like. Starts with a J." Marcus snaps his fingers bumping his fist with his forehead a couple of times.

"Jennifer Aniston?"

"No."

"Jennifer Love Hewitt?"

"No, it's not a Jennifer no."

"Oh, its Julia Roberts! It has to be her!" Jake says enthusiastically just to get his hopes crushed.

"It's not her."

Finally bored from this never-ending topic Jake changes it to the origin of this conversation. "So, are you coming? Please come to my get together. I'll make Abigail invite one of her friends so that you can forget some other chic's name tonight." Jake basically pleaded.
