(3rd pov)

Lucien woke up the next day in a surprisingly good mood because for once he slept peacefully, something he hasn't done in well over 150 years. (I'll explain demon and angel aging process later in the book) He got out of bed slowly and got into the shower. Turning the water on, he enjoyed the feel of the hot water against his skin, he relaxed and went into deep thought about what to do. He knows he can be expelled for his actions yesterday but he doesn't care really. "A new identity, a new school " he thought but then "No matter how much I change my identity, my nightmares will stay."

He just stood there with silent tears mixing with the water running down his face. "Am I going to keep this up forever?" He asked himself. "I want the be free, I want to live with my name, I want to live without fear that I might be found out by the Chosen and killed." He said to himself. "If I was stronger I'd be able to take all of them on!" He shouted. He thought back to his childhood, where there was a demon that could take on the Chosen, his name was Satan, he was the first demon and the only one to unlock the final stage of power.

(Flashback)

"And you see class each demon has 3 stages of power." Said Satan. (Yes the most powerful demon ever, is a teacher) Lucien raised his hand and asked, "Sir how do these 3 stages of power work?" "Well each stage grants it's own set of abilities. Stage one is super speed, strength and incredible senses, all demons unlock this stage by the time they're 36. Stage 2 grants you self healing, better reflexes and the ability to control and element of your choosing this has never been unlocked before age 100 and even then very few demons unlock it because it requires you to witness something that will haunt you forever." Said Satan, finishing his lecture there. "But sir, What about the third stage?" Asked Lucien curiously. "The third stage has a set of abilities I cannot tell you about." Said Satan. "But sir you have the final stage, why can't you tell us about the abilities?" Asked Lucien impatiently. "Because the third and final stage is unique to every demon, no one unlocks the same set of abilities in this stage and the price of obtaining it is too high." He said sadly. "What is the price?" Asked Lucien, almost whispering. "You must kill the one you love most." Said Satan. The whole class was quiet then one student asked, "What are you abilities sir?" "My abilities are the power to control all elements and I can control humans with just my thoughts." Said Satan.

(Present time)

Lucien thought back to that lesson and smiled, he learned so much that day. He knew the price of the final stage but he knew if he was ever going to live in peace he'd need that power to beat the Chosen but no one he loved was alive anymore. He realized that he has been standing in the shower for 20 minutes and he turned the water off and got dressed. Since his act was broken he decided to dress like he normally would. He wore a red t-shirt with a black hoodie, baggy black pants and black and red shoes. (He really loves black) He went outside and actually walked to school at a human pace. As he crossed the street to his school he noticed a girl staring at him. She had blond hair, yellow/orange eyes and a tattoo on her face that really stood out against her pale skin, she wore combat pants and white shoes, those eyes solely focused on him. He rubbed his eyes and she was gone, thinking it was just a illusion Lucien walked into school and sat in class, being the first there he fell asleep on his desk and started dreaming.

(Luciens dream)

"That girl, she's in my dream?" Lucien thought to himself and he saw the same girl as before. Lucien felt strange, he knew he was dreaming but it felt like he was awake, he could think and do things without any problem. He looked at the girl and asked, "Who are you?" The girl just smiled and said, "Come find me when you feel the time is right." And then she was in his face and pushed him backwards, "But that face" thought Lucien. "It can't be...Diana"

(Real world)

Lucien woke up with a jolt and noticed everyone was looking at him including the teacher. "When'd they get here" Thought Lucien. He looked at the time and mentally cursed himself, the bell rang 20 minutes ago. He then stood up and felt his face, "Oh shit." Thought Lucien. He was crying tears of blood. He stood up and said, "I have to go home." And with that he ran, the second he was out of the school building he used his speed and he got home quickly. He wiped the tears and thought, "That's it, I need to go somewhere, anywhere." He grabbed all his clothes and belongings and put them in bags and then as he was about to leave he remembered something. He looked under his bed and found a black journal, it belonged to his father but he never read it yet. He put the journal into his bag and then left his house but outside was a sight that'd shock him for awhile.

All around him were people wearing black cloaks with a capital C on the front, he knew what that stood for. Chosen, they have found him and he didn't know what to do....
