harlow gray was a lost cause, a basketcase. no doubt about it.
a depressed drug addict, who's father left her and her deadbeat mother years back. a girl who would probably end up nowhere in life, a girl who would probably die young.
lydia martin was a girl in school that everyone knew. people either wanted to be her or be with her. the nicest bitch you'll probably ever meet, that's for sure. a girl who liked the idea of relationships, but couldn't really hold one down that wasn't toxic and didn't revolve around sex.
maybe the two getting paired up for an assignment was a sick joke from their teacher, or maybe it was fate bringing the two together in the most cliche way possible, take your pick.
but neither of the girls expected to get along as well as they did, and they definitely didn't expect for each other to blossom into more than friends.
