"Mer darling, wake up" I looked at her closed eyes and smooth lips. She seemed so delicate almost defenseless. She opened her eyes only when I kissed her forehead. Always works. I smiled to myself.

She stretched on the bed, hid her head under the pillows and groaned from underneath them lazily. „Good morning sunshine" I laughed.

"What time is it?" She asked, still half asleep.

"Almost noon early bird." She jumped out of the bed as if it was on fire and started to run naked across the bedroom looking for a dressing-gun and a pair of slippers.

"May is gonna be here in a couple of hours and there is still so much work to do! How will we manage to prepare everything in time Maxon? It's impossible! Holly crap it's gonna be a disaster!" Every time she got nervous her mouth wouldn't close even for a second. Not that I had anything against it though. Her voice was always music to my ears. Call me a romantic fool.

"Hey you, calm down. We've still got a lot of time and besides, almost everything is done! Mary, Lucy and Ann have done a pretty amazing job, as always." May was turning eighteen today and America came up with an idea to organize her a real life costume party at the palace. Yeah, May was still that kind of girl and nothing indicated that it was going to change any time soon. I loved May just like we all did. She was the brightest shining diamond in the palace, the one every single person adored. For me she was like a sister, one that I never had but always dreamed of having.

We were both ready to go in no more than ten minutes. No time for sleeping when work was waiting. Today was going to be an important day for all of us, so we better made it perfect.
