"So, what do you want?" Lucy asked Zeref, crossing her arms. "And when can I leave?"

"You cannot leave Lucy." Zeref said, slowly. They were seated in a huge meeting room. Zeref had oh so graciously given her some Fairy Mead, which Lucy always drank in Fairy Hills whenever she met Erza. But Lucy refused to drink, she didn't trust him. They were the only ones seated in the room.

"What?! Why?! I am of no use to you!" She said loudly and stood up.

"Yes, you are. Didn't you know about the deal your father and I made?" Zeref drawled.

"What deal? When?"

"Three months ago."

"What? But he was already dead!"

"You didn't know? That your father is still alive? And well, and happy?"

Lucy could not believe what he was saying. "No, he's not! I visited his grave! I know that he's dead!"

"He's not. Let me explain. Right before he supposedly 'died', he visited me."

"Why would he visit you?"

"Let me finish!" Zeref bellowed. Lucy wanted to snap back, but she held her tounge. "He was sad. Indeed, I have never seen someone that broken-hearted. I mean, his wife died, and then his only daughter mysteriously disappeared." Lucy tried not to think about the pain her father had faced. "He heard about my vast powers and-" Lucy snorted, recalling the first time she had met Zeref on Tenrou Island. Zeref glared at her and continued, "he wanted a spell of some sort that could bring you back. Of course, I couldn't do that. So, I sent Mavis a message."

"Mavis?" Lucy's eyes widened.

"Yes, her. That's why she performed that spell. He's still alive Lucy, he's currently dining in his mansion with his new girlfriend."

Lucy crossed her arms. "Prove it."

"I will. Sting, bring me Lacrima Woisea." After a couple of moments, Sting brought in a lacrima that was rainbow colored and flat, like a glass pane. Zeref put his hand on top of the lacrima and said, "Show me Jude Heartfilia." The lacrima let out a burst of light, momentarily blinding Lucy. Shown on it was a laughing Jude Heartfilia and a lady whom Lucy did not recognize eating lavish food in the Heartfilia Mansion.

"How do I know that this wasn't filmed right before he died?" She questioned, still disbelieving.

"Look at the right corner. It shows the date and time."

"Sting, what time is it?" Lucy asked turning to Sting.

Sting answered, "Eight in the evening."

The time and date were exactly the same.

Lucy slunk down in her seat, overwhelmed. Her father was alive. He was awake and alive! Then she sprung up suddenly and said, "Let me leave!" She pulled on Zeref's coat, pleading.

"No Lucy, I cannot." Zeref actually felt sympathy.

"Please..." she looked so miserable, Zeref nearly agreed to let her go. "Why...why can't I leave?"

"The deal stated that as long as you were in my castle, safe and working here, he would get a potion that would keep him alive. However, seven years has passed. You need to make up for that lost time."

"So, what I'm your servant? You already have Sting and Rogue."

"I need you Heartfilia. Mavis is working on a certain project that requires the assistant of a Celestial Mage."

"Then why don't you get someone else?"

"Mavis specifically asked for you."

"Why?"
