--Before the 2000s, Three Days Grace started out as Groundswell, with Adam as the lead singer, Brad Walst on bass, Neil Sanderson on the drums and back vocals, and someone as the lead guitarist. Soon later, when the name Three Days Grace was born, Barry Stock replaced someone during the process in 2003; being the new lead guitarist.

--In 2013, Adam departed from Three Days Grace, and was replaced from Matt Walst, (Brad the bassist's brother),who had a band named Darkest Days or something like that. Adam says in interviews that he left NOT because of any health condition, and was proud to be sober, but he left because the music to him didn't mean anything anymore.

--After the departure from Three Days Grace in 2013, Adam made a comeback and got into concert again for the first time in 2015, but with the band they named Saint Asonia. With of course Adam as lead singer, Corey Lowery as bassist and back vocals, Mike Mushock as lead guitarist, and Rich Beddoe on drums. So far the new band is fortunately successful.
