Kageyama watched as the flames licked the air in front of him. The fire was small, seeing as he had made it himself, but it somehow comforted him in more ways than pity or empty words ever could. The heat against his skin reminded him of a far away memory and left faded music echoing in his ears. He sighed and lifted the neatly folded shirt that was stained with gray blood and tossed it into the crackling blaze. The distant music stoped instantly, but the memories that haunted him were still there. Kageyama grimaced and shut his eyes, but every time he did the memories became even clearer. So he sat in the grass and watched the fire burn. The shirt in the center was burning and quickly disintegrating, turning into ash. Kageyama bit his lip as he watched the last of Hinata he had go up in smoke.

Tsukishima looked at the cameras on his computer screen and sighed. It had been very quiet over the past few days at the castle and he didn't like it. It was entertaining to see the king make a big fuss over his rebel son, and the look on Kageyama's former bride's face was priceless, but so far he hadn't seen the king really do anything about it other than pace his floors and answer his telephone. Looking closer at the monitor that showed the king's room he saw the broad shouldered and proud man pace in his room. His head perked at a sound Tsukishima was unable to hear though his screen and made his way over to the night stand next to his luxurious bed and then picked up the corded phone. The king and the person on the other line exchanged a few words and by the obvious yells from the royal, it was not a pleasant call. The king then promptly slammed the phone back onto it's stand and continued to walk back and forth. Tsukishima smirked.

Suddenly all the views on his screen went black. Tsukishima's eyebrows bunched together and he frowned. His fingers moved across the keyboard with smooth and precise motions and tried to get himself back into the system. Tsukishima typed in the same command over and over but, it wouldn't work. The big red letters that read 'Access Denied' lit up his pale gray face. He frowned and he tried one last time. But ended with the same result. "Damn it," He whispered. They must've found him in the system. (A:N: I don't know anything about that cool computer shit so you can correct me if I'm wrong) Tsukishima pushed up his glasses in determination. No one could truly keep him, an expert hacker, out forever. An hour later, Tsukishima was still trying to get around the system when a green light flashed in the corner of his screen. He raised his eyebrow and clicked on the icon. The green light meant that a video was coming straight from the castle. While he had been locked out of the camera system for now, he could still see what was being broadcasted across the kingdom. When he clicked the blinking light and saw the first image in the broadcast his jaw dropped. "Oh." He whispered to himself.

Kageyama felt like he had been punched in the stomach as he lay in the small and uncomfortable bed. He had been at the base for over a week now, silently crumbling, and nothing had changed. People had come in and out asking questions and to give him fresh clothes, but he had barely noticed them. By now it had begun to sink in that he was truly alone. His sister was back at the castle and was probably thinking that he was a dirty traitor and a terrible brother, and he didn't even want to try and guess about what his father was thinking, not that he really cared. But the one thought that continued to wreck his mind was Hinata. Over and over again he was forced to recall the whole thing. The blood, the tears, their first and last kiss. It had been far to late that Kageyama realized that it was something he wanted to do for a long time. Kageyama took a deep breath and gripped the edge of his blanket. With a great amount of effort he silenced the screen behind his eyes showing the scene and slipped into a numb and disturbed sleep.

The next day Kageyama sat on his bed after another rough night plagued by nightmares. Kageyama put his head in his hands and rubbed his eyes. Suddenly there was a knock on his door. "Come in." He groaned. The door creaked open.
