chapter three

everything

Then he knocked on the door forcefully and stepped back. Niall rubbed his temples and ruffled his hair for the tenth time since he got inside the building. His head was throbbing and he already knew that he was about to have a panic attack. Out of frustration, Niall knocked once again, and this time Harry opened the door.

Harry had a worried look on his face as he saw Niall. He let him in and rested him on the couch. Niall's face was red and his eyes was watery, his breathing wasn't stable and his lips were starting to loose its color.

Harry wasn't sure what he'd do, but he gave him a glass of water and Niall chugged all of it empty. Then Harry rubbed his back, telling him to breathe and relax. He waited for Niall to feel better before asking him anything.

Soon after, Niall looked more lively and he wiped the fresh tears on his cheeks. Then he smiled, a small fragile smile that could break any second.

"I didn't mean to bother you Harry. It's just that, everything's coming back." Niall spoke quietly, Harry shushed him and patted his back.

It has been three days since Harry and Niall's talk. Since the day Niall recieved the letter from Elena, since the day Niall felt bad again.

"What happened?" Harry asked carefully. He was afraid of asking anything because Niall could break down any second. Niall was like glass, fragile and precious.

Niall breathed deeply, he was thinking of what he would say, where he would start. But he just talked without control.

"I got a letter." Niall said. And Harry raised both of his eyebrows. "From Elena."

Harry saw it again, the look on Niall's face. He didn't know what to do. But he just kept quiet and let Niall continue.

"I recieved it the day you came to my flat. After you left, I picked it up." Niall stopped and sighed. "Then I read it, which was a mistake."

"What did it say?" Harry questioned and Niall looked down.

Harry saw Niall smirk a bit. "She was asking me things, telling me things. But the last part, it was the one that broke me."

Harry didn't say anything else, He knew that Niall couldn't handle it any longer.

"I have to go. I'm sorry for bothering you, thanks though." Niall stood up and smiled at Harry.

"It's fine Niall. If you need anyone to talk to, you can run to me, i'm all ears."

Then Niall left. He ran as fast as he could to where his legs would take him.

Niall stopped near the docks and sat down. He looked at the water and started thinking again. He started thinking about everything.
