She woke up with her eyes blinded by the sunlight passing through the window. Echoes of her mom still passing through her ears. The green ceiling above her seem diving down to her. She sat up and looked over the window hoping to catch a glimpse of her mom.

She doesn't know if she did the right thing about not forgiving her. For once, she felt guilty and sorry for her mother. Summer wanted the feeling to fade away. She thought about the thing she did to her but the memories of last night kept coming back.

Her phone started ringing. She reached for it and it was Benedict calling. She doesn't want to talk to someone right now or maybe it's because she doesn't want to spill something about her mom to Benedict.

Going back to reality, she decided to get rid of her guilt by saying sorry.

She knocked on their door and it was Autumn with an angry look on her face answered the door.

"I'm just- I'm sorry.", Summer realized that it was the same sentence that her mom said to her. She felt nervous about what she's doing because she might not forgive her. It hit Summer that this may be what her mother felt. Her knees started to grow weak. She was already preparing not to cry. She looked at Autumn's eyes pleading silently. She was shocked that she came in for a hug.

"It's okay.", Autumn took a deep breath. "I saw you last night though. All the screaming."

"Sorry, what?", Summer asked with her body felt like exploding.

"I was about to confront you about what you did to my mom but you were screaming at someone. Well she kept calling your name. Who is she?"

"I- I don't want to talk about it."

"Please? Was it your mom? Just please talk to me."

"Okay. Fine. Yes it's my mom."

Autumn invited Summer inside their house. She saw Autumn's mother standing nearby smiling at her cheerfully. The feeling of guilt struck her senses like a lightning. She walked over to Mrs. Masters and started chatting.

Minutes passed they were already talking about Summer's mother. She tried so hard to avoid the conversation but it just came. Dahlia comforted Summer just like a mother would do. The warm hug gave her chills except for Summer's phone ringing again and it was Benedict.

"I should go Mrs. Masters. I'll see you.", she said still ignoring the phone call.

"I can also be your mummy if you want", Mrs. Masters suddenly said. Summer smiled at her and left their house.
