lola, hadley
"Ugh, I was so wasted. I'm never gonna party again.""Liar."
"This hangover is killing me, Lola. Seriously. It makes me want to officially swear myself off of alcohol for the rest of my life."
"Right..."
"Lola, are you okay? You seem...off."
"Haha, totally fine, Hadley. Nothing is wrong. Nope. Nada. Zero. I'm totally okay. Well, maybe except for the fact that I almost lost it to a complete stranger, but otherwise I'm-"
"Oh my god, Lola!"
"Huh. I know. I would say 'oh my god' to me, too."
"No, I meant you're finally growing up! I'm so excited!'
"Hadleeey."
"Okay, sorry."
"I know you're not sorry, Hadley, I could practically hear your excitement over the phone."
"And I can practically envision you rolling your eyes at me."
"Hardy har har."
"Oh, shush. At least tell me what he's like?"
"Tall. His hair was such a dark shade of brown that it was practically black."
"Green eyes?"
"Green eyes."
"Lola, green-eyed boys have always been your type!"
"I know. Really hot, obviously, and really witty. He was so nice, actually. Asking for consent and all, though he was a bit tipsy."
"Oh my, what if it's him?"
"What do you mean by 'him'?"
"The one, obviously."
"Hadley, I just met him."
"That's where the most legendary love stories began. You know, meeting each other and not knowing the person in front of them was the one."
"You're too much of a hopeless romantic."
"But I have a point, right? C'mon, you've read more love stories than I have, and a lot of them started there."
"And you're saying?"
"I have a point."
"Hadley?"
"Yeah?"
"Shut up."
