Dear Anxiety,
We all hurt. We all fall. But even in the midst of a person's ruin, a lending hand is not always welcome. To pretend we know what someone else is feeling is unfair. Always assuming someone is wounded is an insult to their character. It's no ones job to fix another being. But we try anyways. Why? Why do we attempt to heal each other's brokenness? When we can't even heal our own? Human nature. And so I'm here, trying to send a message to everyone else out there, feeling the same thing, struggling the same way, hoping that all of us somehow make it through. Because you will not conquer us. You will not defeat us. We will persevere. We will live, even if you are there, trying to convince us that it's easier to hide away.
Sincerely,
Liz
