A Strange Request at a Piano Bar

It's a normal night at the Sassafras Cafe, rain lightly pitter-patters against the restaurants windows. Turning all of the colors outside into blurry sights of oranges, whites, and reds. In the distance lights from the annual carnival can be seen, just as another eerie glow far into the distance.

But all inside of the small cafe is quiet, just the small chatter that covered the room and the sound of the pianist playing despite their sprained wrist. Soon the quiet chatter turns into one of palpable silence, an awkward silence. At the entrance of the cafe was a man, mask covering his face, an oxidized knife dripping in blood in one hand and an apple in the other.

As the man makes his way closer to the counter, not a move is made by a person in the shop. The poor counter boy was cursing his body for not being able to move.

With a twirl the masked man places the instrument onto the counter.

"Please, just take whatever you want." The counter boy says. "Just don't hurt anyone."

The man pulls up the mask, giving a slight chuckle. An almost innocent look on his blood splattered face. "Just peel this apple for me would ya?"

The cashier can only blink at the seemingly juvenile request.

And that's it, please excuse the writing I wrote this late at night and I know that it's atrocious! But please tell me what you thought!

Until the next one! ^_^/
