Fairy tales usually start with a curse, or a war or at least a forbidden love, not this one. This story starts with two little girls listening to their mother's lecture.

"The people of this village have gone through a great tragedy and require our full sympathy and support. Imagin having a band of theives ransack their village. As the royal family we must show them that we care about them and will do all that is in our power to help them get though this trying time." Queen Grace said then she sighed then she looked at her two daughters. Her daughter Brianna was sitting properly focused on what her mother was saying but her other child Lilliana was leaning out of the window watching the other carriages in their caravan. "Lilliana!"Grace yelled making Lilliana fall backward and end up on the carriage floor. Despite herself both Grace and Brianna started laughing.

Lilliana smiled as she gingerly sat upand rubbed the back of her head,"Yes mother?" she asked with what she hoped was an innocent smile. It failed to impress.

" What out there is so much more important then what I was saying.?" Grace asked tapping her foot angrily. Lilliana looked down ashamed, she had thought her mom would be so wrapped up in what she was saying she wouldn't notice her. Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought of all the punishments her mother was bound to heap down upon her poor seven year old self; extra etiquette lessons, forbiding her from watching the knights training and worst of all no deserts. Grace saw her tears and misinterpreted them as remorse for her actions. Brianna saw her sister crying too and got off her seat to hug her, she looked pleading up to her mother looking for leniency for her twin sister. Grace sighed indungently and held her arms out to her daughters. Both Brianna and Lilliana crawled into her lap,"Lily I know you are bored and you rather be back at the castle reading the latest adventure of Sir Bravous in the library or watching the knights practice sword fighting but these villagers need us right now. They need to know that we care. Would you not like to help them?"Queen Grace said.

Lilliana nodded,"You're right Mother.I won't mess around anymore I promise." she said and she meant it.

Grace smiled,"I believe you sweetie. Now why don't I explain what we're doing here again?"  Lilliana nodded.
"Two days ago a band of thieves road in a small mining village on the outskirts of the Monta region. Apparently there was a large deposits of gems there and they wanted to take it for themselves. They slathered the militiamen and anyone else who tried to stop them. Once they stole everything of value they set fire to most of the buildings. We are here to provide food and medical supplies, jump start the reconstruction and help them bury their dead." Lilliana looked down deeply ashamed by her behavior, these people need help and she was acting like a child.

"What are Lilliana and I going to do to help mother?" Brianna asked deeply sadden by the plight of thoes poor villagers.

"Well Brianna you will be assiting Dr. Morris with caring for the sick and injured and Lilliana..."Grace couldn't finish her sentence because a load scream rang out. Everyone went to the window and saw a woman holding a child with one hand and fighting to keep a hold of her shaw with the other.

"Please let go my baby with get cold without it." she pleaded with the man to steal it. The man paid no attention to her begging and even started kicking her in the legs to try and make her fall.

"Signal a one of the knights to come and help this woman!"Grace shouted to the coachman then she turned to her daughters,"Brianna, Lilliana get away from that window." Her warning came too late as Lilliana had already jumped out of the carriage and was running at the two people.

"Stop that this instant!" she yelled. The man and woman stopped for a second staring at the well-dressed little girl yelling angrily at them.

"The hell you want rich girl, grown ups are talking." he said with a scowl. He refused to let go of the womans shaw.
