December morning on a Sunday one day until school starts...

T: My parents told me life would be better in Canada. They said I would have more opportunities. But I hate it here already. It sucks.

A: Theodora scende le scale per favore!!!(Theodora come down stairs please!!!)

T: Sto venendo mamma!!! (I am coming mom!!!)

T: What's up mamma?

A: Your school offers ski club, so I decided to sign you up because I know how much you love to ski. And it starts after Christmas break.

T: Sweet, thanks momma! (Goes back upstairs and continues to unpack)

After finally unpacking all of my stuff and organizing my bedroom I decided to take a walk outside.

T: Sto andando a fare una passeggiata (I am going for a walk) I'll be back in a an hour.

I started walking on the street looking at the big houses in my neighbourhood. The only thing I like about Canada is our house. It was beautiful. It was all in a baige brick, we had a three car garage and an in-ground pool in the back yard. It was for sure an update from our old house. My parents are both equally very wealthy. My father is a very popular architect and my mother is a very successful entrepreneur. So yes I will not lie my parents are pretty rich, but I am very grateful for everything they've done for my family. Even though they made us move to a completely different country they did it for the good of our futur career opportunities. My parents take school very seriously,we always have to have a 90% average or above. 80's were not acceptable. But I know that it's because they love us and want what's best for us.

As I was in my train of thoughts I saw something from the corner of my eye. I turned and looked and saw a group of boys and girls playing hockey on a outdoor rink. Then I realized that I was in a neighbourhood that I did not recognized. I must have been so deep in my thoughts that I got lost. I looked around reading the street names and tried to remember what path I came from, but I had no idea. And I forgot my phone at home. So I decided to go and ask the group of people who were playing hockey. I've never been shy, in fact I am a great public speaker, so I had no problem going up to them.

I saw this girl who was sitting on the bench so I approached her.

T: Excuse me do you have a phone on you that I can borrow please. I need to call my mother I am new here and I got lost as I was walking.

Girl: Oh ya for sure hun. (Takes out phone) Here you go. (Hands the phone to T)

T: Thank you so much!

Girl: No problem gurll!!

I looked at the time on her phone it was 6:00 we usually eat by 7:00 so I called my mom and explain that I got lost and that I might be late for supper. I didn't bother asking if she could pick me up. I knew she wouldn't. She hasn't driven ever since the accident. I told her I would find a way back home. I hung up the phone and gave it back to the girl.

Girl: Thanks.... I am Jaden by the way. (Hold her hand out so I shake it)

T: (shakes hand) I am Theodora but you can call me T if you want.
