Slade's POV-
I thought it'd never happen; for my precious bird to come back. I knew he always had problems with his teammates. But never had I thought it'd go this far. Far enough for him to come running back, willingly. But now that I have him in my clutches, I will never let him go. Never, and I'll make sure of that. I will make him just like me. Immortal. I finally perfected the serum, the one that had painfully killed several soldiers and made me practically immortal. Invincible to chemicals, fast healing, inhuman reflexes, etc. etc.
If only Batman was here to see it! His ex-partner, his little bird, now in my grasp. I'd laugh in his face; mock him. It may be 'un-Slade like', but shows how even the toughest can break.
Someday,
They will all see.
