The semester just started. This was Kelly's second year in college. She was living in apartment off campus, with the help of her mother and father. Her best friend Lennie was on her way over to drop off a pair of shoes she had borrowed for work the night before.
"Damn it Lennie," Kelly thought. "Hurry the hell up. I have to be in class in 20 minutes.."
Just then, there was a knock at the door.
"About damn time."
Kelly went to answer the door. Lennie was standing there, shoes and coffee in hand.
"What's up girl? Sorry I'm running late. Coffee?"
"No, thanks." Kelly grabbed her shoes, ran them to her room, grabbed her bag, phone, and keys and ran out the door.
"Rush much? You okay?" Lennie was standing in front of Kelly's door as Kelly was scrambling towards her car. She followed behind her. "Hey, wanna chill tonight?"
