It Starts Again

Taraji P.O.V
So I was going through my email seeing if anymore broadway gigs we're being sent my way.

I haven't been interested in doing movies or tv shows at the moment.

I see an email from the victorious Lee Daniels and decided to take a peek.

Reading through his email he was saying that he had a role that he would want me to play.

I was hesitant for a second because I was trying to focus on broadway acting then filming.

He sent a rough draft script and I read over the character's
personalities and their backgrounds.

The script seemed really good but there was something missing.

The characters must have strong feelings for one another to pull this production.

I was thinking if Terrence would do this part then we might have something really good on our hands.

It was really late and I haven't spoken to him in such a long time.

News of him began to spread but I was there with him through it all.

Word got around that he was married and we slowly began to lose contact.

Since it wasn't the right time of day I decided to hold off on asking him and wait till tomorrow evening and smoothly transition into asking him.

I went to the bathroom and ran a nice bath and soaked for awhile.

After I brushed my teeth and got into bed.

Next Morning
I woke up and this morning was going to be a productive day.

I went to the bathroom and did my morning routine and headed off to my closest to pick out something to wear.

I was being simple today with a addidas shirt and some black jeans.

It was almost noon and I knew I had to make the phone call.

I will not do the project without Terrence.

I called him up and to my surprise he answered pretty quick "Hey Raji" he said in his husky voice.

"Uhh.. Terrence hi I-I was just calling to tell you about this upcoming project Lee Daniels trying to get off the ground" I said stuttering a bit.

"And I see I was the first person to come to mind" he said laughing.

"Look I'm just trying to help you out your not doing well finding roles on your own" I said giving a little attitude.

"Touché. Well what is the role about" he said curiously.

I didn't feel like explaining everything over the phone and also kind of curious of what he looks like now too.

Hey you can't blame a girl who wants to see what could have been.

"If your really interested meet me at Piccolo cafe for brunch we'll talk about it there" I said as I hung up.

I couldn't stand talking to him any longer I just couldn't handle it.

But now I made a meeting with him if he even shows up that is.

Terrence P.O.V
Taraji just hung up with me after the years that went by she didn't ask about anything personal at all.

She only mentioned this new role that could be a game changer for my career.

The rumors that went around was a hard patch in my life but after that I met the love of my life Mira.

We married really quickly and I didn't care in my heart I knew she was the one.

At times she could be irritating and absolutely not tolerable but she's my wife and we try to work pass that.

The phone call with Taraji was really surprising I answered quick but didn't expect it to be about work.

The phone call was simple and short but she told me to meet her at a cafe so I went to get ready.

In New York the weather seemed to be turning for the best.

Meeting Taraji in such a long time I had to flex just a little bit so I decided to wear black leather jacket and a pair of black pants with my rolex.

I drove my Bentley over to the location and saw her sitting in the booth next to a window.

She's still beautiful after all these years.

I walked and and greeted and she seemed surprised that I even came.

Seeing her now she just glowed and her smile is one that you could never forget.

I sat on the opposite side of the booth and the conversation started.

"Soo.. about the new script do you have it with you" I said nonchalantly.

"Well the characters have a good story but they need to be played like the history is actually there you know?" She said pulling out the papers from her bag.

After discussing potential work I took a turn in the personal direction.

"Taraji why all this time you decide to call me?" I said curiously.

"Everything that happened but your still by my side" I said.

"Look Terrence I'm not here to talk about personal matters, and you've been my friend for over a decade you shouldn't be asking that question" she said getting up to leave.

"I'll do the project and thanks for bringing it up to me" I said with a smirk.

I walked her out to her car and and said my goodbyes.

'Letting her walk away again, nice Terrence' I said to myself and walked back to my car and drove off.

Cruising through New York there were many attractions to be seen.

I decided to stay out a bit later and I know Mira was going to have a problem with it.

Instead of going home a stayed at hotel and thought about the meeting I had with Taraji earlier today.

Mixed emotions started to settle in and old feelings began to resurface.

Hustle and Flow was a long time ago she's not interested in me anymore plus she knows I married Mira and without me telling her made it worse.

All thoughts of her circled around in my head this project will at least let me see her often.
