Darkness....

She lies in bed,

Alone at night,

Her mind to others,

Would give a fright,

It wanders darkly,

Through her skull,

Her razor blades,

They’re getting dull.

She was always filled with joy at school,

But when it turned to night,

Danger pooled.

Waves of anguish,

Sand of sadness,

Filter through,

Drowns her insides,

Her wrists too,

Hurricanes crash inside her eyes,

It’s hard to keep a light soul,

Her cheeks are damp,

Her wrists are sore.

She turns off the lamp,

And shuts the door.
