I stood lifelessly in the hospital when somebody placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Papa....Yeh sab...!", before I could speak any further my eyes froze on seeing a face, a face that I hated with all my might.
"Parth...", I gasped.
"Sanyukta...yeh sab!", he responded mimiking me."Randhir theek toh ho jayega...nah?",he faked a sad face and within a minute changed his expression to a smirk when he found nobody around me."Hahaaaaa...thik my foot. He will die! Randhir Singh Shekhawat will die. Usse usse toh marna hi tha nahi toh mera kaam pura kaise hoga?", he laughed wickedly which I was left traumatized.
Iska matlab parth...he did this! I glaced at Randhir who still laid on the OT struggling between life and dead.
"Usse kuch nahi hoga...samjhe tum Parth! If he loves me truly he has fight death and come back to me...", clutching his shirt firmly I bursted out.
Few mins later...I sat down on the bench fidgeting thinking about the confession I have made to Parth a minute earlier. Every moments that I have spent with him, I cherished them, caressed them in my heart, but Randhir.....He is still in the OT and the doctors are not ready to say a single word.
"no nothing will happen to my husband...nothing! I won't let anything happen him!", a minute later the doctor arrived out of the OT."Doctor...Randhir? woh theek hai nah?", for how how many times I don't know papa asked him the question to which he made a faint smile appear his face, "Yes he is out of danger but unhe abhi bhi hosh ni aaya hai. We have to keep him under observation till next fourty eight hours."
His words made me feel my pulses working again. Life has taught me the biggest lesson 'what is the fear of lossing our beloved ones!'.
I hardly dared to peep through the glass pane, his body laid on the bed tussling in between life- saving mask and pipes that surrounded him like the bars. Only I dared to touch his fingers when a tiny tear escaped my eyes. Putting his hand in mine I held them firmly promising never them alone.
In the few hours of the day, he has made me realize what he was to me and what my life would have been if hadn't been there.
"Randhir.....please get up naah?", tears trickled one after another from eyes when a tiny drop feel on his cheek. Feeling the most aloof in the world, I shut my eyes in pain when he opened them faintly calling my name, "Sanyukta...!"Hearing his voice for a fraction of time made me realize what I dying to hear about till now. His innocence made me smile even in pain.
"Randhir....ap theek hai nah? Bahot dard ho raha hai?", putting my fingers on his wound I tried to caress them when he cried out, "ahhh..."
"I am so sorry Randhir...main apko hurt nahi....", before I could finished he started laughing...
"Areee aree I was joking....tum itni pareshan ho! Halat dekhi hai apni? U look scary. Mere liye itna kya sochna? I'm fine."
He took my hand and rested them on his chest while I wondered how can a person make fun of himself even in such a situation. Maybe his urge to make me smile was necessary than the pain he combaiting with.
