Aliens of the Witching Hour

Chapter 3

I woke up early on the next day so that I can investigate the area out side Sam's room window.It was a sunday morning and everyone was enjoying their sleep.

It was around 06:00 am when I walked into the backyard for my investigation.  I decided so because some where in my heart I felt that something really had happened last night.But,unfortunately I found nothing in my backyard.It was around 07:25 am when I walked up to the house roof.When I reached my house top, I saw three big circles . It seemed to be that something hot and burning had landed over there. It was like when we put flame on a concrete floor, it leaves a black-brownish mark. I took out a small got it from a doctor.

I took a sample of the ash there and kept it in my kit.

Do you know what, the circle was almost the size of the three pointer of a basketball court.  I was just soooo...confused and also I was not able to understand any thing. So, I took out my camera and clicked a picture for my own reference.

Now it was almost 08:56 am when my mom,whose name was Lily...Lily Mendes.

Oh, GOD!!!...How can it beee...!!!.    I...I am really sorry I forgot to introduce my family and friends.

My name is...is...

What??Don't you know my name?   Okay...my name is Ashley...Ashley Mendes. Sam Mendes is my lil bro,Mark Mendes is my dad.

You can also call me Ash as many people call me.

So, where was I ??

Yeah...Now it was almost 08:56 am when my mom saw me on the roof and asked me to come down.     When I came down she asked me "What were you doing up there?".She was cleaning the dishes in the kitchen and I stood beside the dining table .

I said "Mom I went on the roof to...um...to take a fresh breathe of the mellow breeze on this beautiful morning." 

  "Okay...Okay, don't say that filmy dialogue darling" she said wrinkling her forehead.

I just smiled and went upstairs, to my room.     I sat on my chair and closed my eyes . After resting for two minutes , I switched 'on' my laptop and connected it with my camera. I took a print of that picture ,I clicked in the morning, and stuck it in a newly bought scrapbook.

I was not able to find my towel,so,I shouted,

"Mom,where's my towel?"

"Sweety, it's in there only, in your cupboard's second shelf."  ,she said shouting from down stairs.

"Moma, It's not here!!!"

"It's there Ash. I kept it yesterday in the evening."

"Mom, I am telling you naa, I can't find it!!''

She came up in my room and then opened my messed up cupboard, and then took my towel out.

"Aha! Here it is" She said.

"Oops!!!! Sorry, I dint saw it". I said feeling a bit guilty.

Going out of my bedroom she said " No problem dear."

I went in the bathroom for a quick bath and after then , went down stairs.
