We're just fine. It's very different now but, its better now.
Bridget
Well, my family is here if you need anything.
(looking at Olive)
And you Olivia, hows the new school honey?
Olive
Please, call me Olive. School is just fine, it was my first day yesterday.
Bridget
Okay.. Olive.
(Olive and Bridget laughs)
(Kenzie scuffs at the sight)
Well, I hope you're making friends. Kenzie and her friends are there so the two of-
(Kenzie interrupts her mother)
Kenzie
She seems just fine. I saw her today, she seems to have friends....
Olive
(looks up at Kenzie)
Yeah.. If you consider teachers.
Kenzie
Last time I checked, Patrick was a student.
(David, Bridget, and Jefferson goes silent and looks at the two girls)
Olive
Right, well I met him today. Seems very nice.
Bridget
He's a very nice boy.
Melissa
Is it Patrick Bisque you're talking about?
Bridget
Yes.
Melissa
Oh, close to the family is he then?
Jefferson
(giggles and pats Kenzie on the back)

Kenzie

(Olive's eyebrows meet, thinking of what Kenzie has said)
(The whole table goes silent for a while until Doug breaks the silence)
Doug
So, I'm guessing we will all be seated together at the state dinner?
David
That we will.. But, lets have the kids all sit together. We don't want to bore them with our politics.
Doug
Great idea, especially you Kenzie and Olive. You'll be seeing lots of each other.
(Olive smiles at Kenzie, but Kenzie looks at ther with a blank face)
(Everyone is outside the valet parking waiting for their car)
