Arriving home I see that Georgia isn't home yet and neither is dad. A sweet smell grabs my senses so I head in the direction it's coming from, the kitchen.
Walking in the kitchen I see mum all bunched up around the island in the centre of the old yet somewhat modern kitchen. Mum jumps as I approach her, she looks startled as she says 'Dani you scared me, I didn't hear you come in.' She then adds 'how was your first day at college?'
Noticing that mum has icing on her nose from the cakes she's been making I smile and the begin telling mum of my first day. We speak about Jo; who mum insists I should invite around for tea even though we just me today; and then I talk her through each class and the teachers.
Mum seems the most intrigued in my music classes, as she always pushes me to pursue my career in music, I have always known mum loved my singing as she has always cried every time she watches me. Licking the icing off mums icing nozzles, she smiles at me. I tell mum I'm going to call Britney and leave the kitchen with a smile and a quick 'bye mum.'
On the way to my room I send Britney a quick text to see if she's free for a chat and with that my phone vibrates which is Britney saying 'I'm just shopping with mum and Emily, I'll give you a text later.' A little jealousy fills me as I long to be back in Canada shopping with Britney and assuring posh and vain Emily with her make up filled face and mousy blonde hair extensions, is not stealing my best friend.
With a swift jump I land on my bed and immediately feel stress free.i begin to fill my mind with my first day and yet again Jayce. A few minutes pass and it seems I may of nodded off as I am awakened by a knock on my bedroom door.
Georgia enters and immediately asks me about college. I tell Georgia all the things I told mum as well as leaving out Jayce. Georgia tells me about her first day at her new school. As she goes on I realise more and more how similar we are, most of all because Georgia already on her first day has a list of a people she does not like. Georgia discusses reasons why she already does not like these people which really makes me laugh.
She tells me about this girl Tara that she has made friends with in which Georgia adds that I will get along with Tara as she is funny. Realising that throughout the whole conversation with Georgia she has mentioned a boy named Connor a few times. I cut her off mid rant about this girl Bethany's horrible eyebrows, I say 'so who's this Connor guy?' Looking back at me she blushes and replies with 'I don't know what you're talking about' I nod making a slight 'hmm' noise while smirking.
Georgia blushes like crazy but proceeds on further about her lessons and teachers and even a few more bad words about Bethany which never fails to make me smile.
Not realising an hour or so has passed mum shouts us for tea completely taking away my plan of subway delivery. As I head down stairs dad is home but is already buried in pieces of paper. Eating tea, I follow with a shower, a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, topped off with Netflix on my iPad and then in no time, I'm fast asleep.
//Authors note- I really enjoyed writing this chapter even though not much happens, I wrote this chapter in a cute little cafe in my town centre, very cliche I know. I really hope everyone is enjoying my book so far, as I am really enjoying writing it//
