3| NOT LYING IF YOU DO IT RIGHT

---> picture of Hogan on the side.
"Isn't that lying?" I ask, raising my eyebrows.
I cross my arm over my chest and squirm in the uncomfortable chair. I can do a lot of things, but lying isn't one of them.
"It's not lying, If you do it right." Reply Hogan.
The waitress finally comes around with our food. She slip my burger eyeing him.
I restrain myself from laughing at the desperation on her face. She waits a little longer, waiting for him to notice her.
Hogan eyes didn't look away from me and she frown walking away.
"What?" He ask throwing a fry in his mouth. I bite down on my lips, shrugging.
"We met at Pinks dinner on the night of your breakup, I noticed you and we talk. I gave you my number, made plans to meet up and the rest is history." He say so easily.
The same couldn't be said for me, I'm a stuttering mess.
Hogan is staring at me, chuckling.
"Wow. You truly are a virgin Mary." He remark amusingly. I frown.
"Lying and curving the truth are two different things. We're telling the truth, with a little editing."
"I just don't feel comfortable." I say uneasily.
"How about this. I take you on a date and ask you to be my girlfriend. So you aren't lying." I stare at his face, completing my options.
I am definitely confuse by his initiative. Why would he, a very attractive guy go through all this trouble just to help a girl he barely knows. What is he gaining from this.
My mind is venting at me to ask him such question, yet I can't find myself saying them out loud.
"I'm agreeing to this, on one condition." He eye me, waiting patiently. "You stop wearing the shade." I state. His eyes are by far the most beautiful thing and the shade is very distracting.
Hogan chuckles, nodding his head.

Hogan and I part ways with the promise of him picking me up tonight.
I saunter around the mall and purchase little things I need. I'm walking to the exit and I see them.Candace and Keith are walking with hands lock in my direction. She laughs at something he say and I'm left to push my heart down my throat.
I stand there frozen, forgetting how to breath. And my chest squeezing so tightly, I gasp.
They leant into one another, sharing a lengthy kiss.
I'm growing angrier. The nerves they have to be walking around feeling no shame for stomping on my feeling.
So lost in their own little world, they don't notice me rushing into a store. I get down to the floor as they both pass by, laughing.
"Can I help you?" I fall on my butt in start. My cheek is flushed as I slowly turn around and take in the tall girl.
She has a honey brown complexion, with lengthy curly hair and dark brown eyes to match. Her slender frame stands tall with a few tattoo on her arm.
Her eyes shine with amusement. She held out a hand that I quickly took.
"Thanks." I say with small smile.
"It's no problem." She reply eyeing the window.
"I'll take my lucky guest and say the ex." I'm confuse at first, until I realize she's referring to the reason I'm in her store.
"Ye-..ah." I sheepishly drawl, glancing around.
"No worries, we all went through that at least once." She chuckles pulling my attention away from the wall.
The small salon has only three costumer who are lost to the outside world.
"How rude of me. I'm Melody and welcome to Mauve." I smile at her sarcastic tone and the fake enthusiasm.
"I'm Bloom." And with a hand shake, a new friendship has been sealed.
I follow Melody to the back, sitting in-front of the mirror. I stare at my reflection and find nothing more than your typical blonde.
It's not that I'm not attractive, I have my mother's blonde hair and my father's green eyes . But I'm plain. I can search myself up online and find the same look on another girl.
I hate being so predictable. Maybe that's the reason why I couldn't even keep Keith Sumner interested.
I can't even remember the last time I got a hair cut other than trim my blonde lock.
"I see the wheel turning in your head." Point out Melody, whose engross in her taco.
"I'm thinking of getting a hairstyle that screams new. I hate the same look every year." I say while glancing at her.
Melody stare at my hair a little longer and smile.
"I'm just the person to help you with that." I can't lie, I'm a little scared by the glint in her eyes.
Melody had my chair turn from the mirror and after three long painful hours of hair pull and scissors, she turn me around.
To say I'm shock is an understatement. I'm lost for words.
My once lengthy blonde hair that reached just bellow my mid-back is now a soft flaxen blonde with curls. The white highlight adds a spice to the shoulder length waves.
I honestly didn't expect her to do such a bold haircut, and I'm even more shock that I actually work it.
The lighter color has my eye color more vibrant.
"Is this really me?" I say in awe. Melody is sporting a proud smile.
"Definitely is." She reply placing her hand on my shoulder.
Much to her protest, I pay the hair style at full price. My eyes can't help but find a mirror and widen in shock.
"Hey." Melody glance over her shoulder. "Are you almost done your shift?" I ask raising my brow.
Melody look at a woman behind the cash register and she glare at her. I can't help but find the interaction amusing.
"Thanks Ma." She smile, pecking the woman's cheek.
Her arm is quickly locking with mine and we're out of the store.
New hair is in definite need of a new wardrobe.
My wallet is definitely crying.
