towards the light, she ran with all her might
to hold the hand that was held out for her
the shadows grew longer and the dark became denser
the screams and growls screeched and made her ears bleed
she knew this was her only chance
the only way
they grabbed onto her legs pulling her back
her feet became heavier and the distance seemed longer
she fell
she crawled
she cried "give me strength, oh lord"
little did she know, it was all a part of the bigger plan
Now it was time
she saw the cross
the second He gave His life
it was the end of all
the price was paid
she was His
and His light, that shone so bright,
it banished the dark, the shadows and the sin
