Chapter 1 The beating heart
A gasp suddenly rose out of the bath tub filled with water. A young had just emerged from the warmness. Breathing heavily she got out, and slowly wrapped the soft towel around her. She stood their in front of the mirror brushing her soaking wet hair. The drops of water leaked from her hair and so did the memories. She started to slip into the memories but she pulled herself in not letting a single word form at the tips of her ruby lips.
She stood there just staring at herself. A scrawny naked girl in a towel stared right back at her. She turned her heel and walked out to her room. Whipping through the clothes she stopped at a single shirt that was way to big for her scrawny body, She slipped it on. The shirt fell off her small shoulders and the end dangled to her knees. Slowly she bent over and pulled her hair long heavy through a half pony tail.
She skipped downstairs, she was alone but, she was use to it. Her parents were divorced. It was rare if they were ever home even if one of the was they would lock themselves away from the world. It was dark since the sky disappeared, so it too could go to sleep. The tall scrawny girl let out a sigh. She loved the night it was so peaceful.
She silently slid the Back door open, only to leave the small cottage she called home. It was a full moon tonight and strength ran through her veins as she breathed in the cool midnight air. She had a dangerous secret. She was a werewolf. Not even her parents knew, no one knew. She shared the secret with no one else except the moon and herself.
The wind pleaded against her, making her want to run, against it and let it beat against her white fur. Within a few minutes small cracks from her bones gave away that she was shifting into a small white wolf. She knew no other werewolf but herself, it made since, since she lived in a small town of only 200 people, but tonight was different she could seance it.
She took off running, her heavy paws hitting the wet soft mud, for it only rained a few hours ago. After a while of running she came to a halt and before her eyes was a beautiful meadow. Her soft silvery eyes widened, as she shift back into a human. A small strings of giggles left her lips, because she learned a trick to transforming so you wouldn't end up naked.
She laid down near the sea, her golden blonde hair just barely touching the waters. Often times people mistaken her for an elf, because of her elvish ears. Truth was all she knew is she was a werewolf and she just let people believe what they thought. As she lay there she could hear the steady beat of the earths heart.
