"I'll go first! My turn! Draw! I summon Goblindbergh (ATK 1400/DEF 0 - level 4) and activate his special ability! When this card is successfully normal summoned, I can summon another monster from my hand that's level 4 or lower. I choose Ganbara Knight (ATK 0/DEF 1800 - level 4)! I use these two monsters to build the overlay network! XYZ summon! Aspiring Emperor Hope (ATK 2500/DEF 2000 - rank 4)! (Using subbed numbers name) Now I place 1 card face down and end my turn."
"Yuma started this duel good!"
"Now if only he could keep it up."
"My turn! Draw! I summon Star Sparrow Girl (ATK 1100/DEF 800 - level 2) and activate her special ability! When this monster is successfully summoned I can special summon Esper Star Sparrow (ATK 3000/DEF 1500 - level 10)from my hand! Then, Sparrow Girl copies the level of Esper Star Sparrow! I overlay! XYZ summon! Jay Bird (ATK 3000/DEF 2100 - rank 10)!"
*An XYZ summon on his first turn!* "You've been practicing?"
"Yup! Now I place 2 cards facedown and end my turn!" He smiled at Yuma and they both gave each other a thumbs up.
Shark and Nami jumped out of the tube into the center of the water system. Pipes opened up all over the room, and water trickled out of them. These pipes were up higher then the one that they came out of so the water wouldn't go back through the other pipes. The water inside the room was up to their knees, and there was a small bit of light in the room coming from the taller tubes.
"What do we do now?"
"I don't know, I can't reach those ones." Nami looked around the room. Using her hands to angle things in her mind. Then she noticed she had cut her hands earlier. It was to dark to see, all she knew was they hurt. She looked at them for a moment then put them behind her back, turning to Shark.
"At the angling of the room the walls are close enough to use both hands and feet to climb up using both sides, but because the walls are wet it's going to be harder to climb. So an easier resolution would be to use the stones sticking from the sides of the wall to get a foot hold and jump up to the tube. Still only a 62% chance of success, because of variables of slipping, momentum, and upper arm strength."
". . . what was that?"
"Analyzing."
". . .OK, let's try it."
"My turn. I draw, and play the spell card Stream of Light. With this card, I can summon all the level 7 monsters in my hand to the field by giving up 1000 life points and negating their special abilities this turn."
"All of them?!"
"Yes. So I summon three level 7 Wave Lancers (ATK 2000/DEF 1500 - level 7). Now I play the continuous spell card Trio Booster. When there are three monsters on my field with the same level, their attack points are raised by 1000!"
"Oh great!"
"Go, Wave Lancer! Attack Hope!"
"But even if you attack, a number can only be destroyed by another number."
"That's why I'm equipping Wave Lancer with the equip spell Effect Shock Ultra. When my monster attacks a monster with 500 or less attack points then my monster, I can give 500 life points to negate your monsters effects."
"Then Hope is-!"
"Attack! Wave Lancer!"
"I activate a trap! Half Unbreak! This card protects my monster from being destroyed this turn, and cuts the damage in half!"
"I still have two Wave Lancers to attack with, and since you activated your trap. It doesn't matter that your card is a number. Go! Wave Lancer! Attack Hope!"
