Moon and Holiday could feel their destination coming within their grasp. Even though they had never been their before, the surrounding forest already felt like home. The squawking crows and even the low hoot of the owls seemed to welcome the two beauties into its farthest corners. They pranced through like they owned the place, and the other creatures gave them the key. Soon they began to scent another pack. At first they were frightened, but Moon had a taste for power. After some convincing, she and Holiday began to track this new pack. They learned of the six wolves within it as they searched. The boisterous pack had left there scent everywhere.
Moon was then struck with the thought that, maybe this was what they had been looking for. She certainly thought it was something to consider. She decided to brood on the subject more.
Holiday stopped, her features alert. They were getting very close. Then, courageous Moon, strutted forward, stumbling right into the clearing where the bachelor pack lay. The boys all jumped up, snarling. Jade came forward and the girls could immediately tell he was alpha. Moon sniffed his nose and wagged her tail lightly. Without waiting for a response she walked past him, towards the others. The wolves were speechless at there entrance. Ladies man Donny strode forward to greet her. "Hey I'm Donny" He said confidently. "Moon" she said, playing coy. Holiday then entered the clearing. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw Erek. His strong, silent self was so appealing to her. He was likewise entranced in her quiet beauty, not quite as demanding as that of the silver one.
Jade was not as impressed with the second wolf, she seemed too mild. He put his alpha on and confronted her. She bowed lightly and spoke quietly. "My sister and I have been searching for something, and we seem to find it here. Would it be alright if we permanently assume positions here?" Jade was a bit taken aback by the surprising forcefulness in the chocolate wolf's inquiry. He raised his head high and said with dignity "You may stay for a while but permanently will have to be discussed." Holiday nodded and walked toward the enticing black wolf.
He met her halfway and stared into her eyes. "I am Erek" he said with a shy tone. "My name is Holiday" she replied. They were so sucked into each other they almost missed what happened next.
Donny, Corone and Onex had swarmed Moon and had already started showing off. Weston looked on from the side annoyed and awed for the first time in his life. This inspired him to do what he did next. He crept up and snapped his teeth down on Corone's tail. Corone snarled at the lower wolf and Weston snarled back. Jade noticed and leapt forward to punish the lesser wolf. Moon saw and quickly intercepted his strike. Jade pulled back and growled. "Move" he said angrily. Moon refused to let him get to Weston so he struck her on the side of the face, surprising her and the rest of the pack. "Hey!" Donny barked and growled at Jade. Corone and Onex also defended Moon. Jade raised his hackles and turned to Moon and Holiday. "You cannot stay with us, you are a disgrace to wolf kind, defending an omega!" Erek spoke up first "No, they will stay as our guests." His voice was soft, deep and charming and it made Holiday's heart melt.
Jade attempted to argue but the whole pack backed the she-wolves up. "Fine" he growled and lay down to nap.
