Luke and I have been bestfriends since we were little. We grew up together and you were attached at the hip.He was my partner in crime. Until he got a girlfriend, Aleisha. Lets just say she didn't like me and I didn't like her either. She always treats Luke like a slave and he does what she says. I am pretty sure she is cheating on him. I don't wanna tell Luke and make him upset because then he will think I'm lying. Then Aleisha will beat me up again for trying to take Luke away from her. Yes I said again she has beaten me up before. Luke asked what happened and I just said I fell and he left me alone after that. The thing is that I am in love with Luke. I have been since 7th grade but he would never like me back because one he has Aleisha and two I am his bestfriend and he thinks of me no more than a friend. Then my phone rang and it was Luke texting me.

Luke: Hey I am bored you wanna come over?? :)
Me: Sure I will be over in a few minutes.

So I put on my shoes and grab my bag and head out the door. Luke's house is only 10 houses down the street. Wow its snowing hard! I think to myself

I walk onto his front porch and knock and Luke comes and answers it right away. Then he engulfs me in a hug and I hug back because I haven't seen him in months." I missed you Ny." I've missed you too Luke." I replied. We go inside and put on The Book Thief. "So how have you been Ny?" Luke asked. " I have been good how about you?" I replied. " I have been pretty down lately." He said sadly. " Why whats wrong?" I ask concerned about my friend. " I broke up with Aleisha." He said in a low tone. I don't reply. So that's why I am here because he doesn't have her anymore so he wants me back. "Nyla say something." I could tell he was confused why I wasn't saying anything. If only he knew that i have loved him forever. "Oh I'm sorry I was in my own little world." I finally reply. "I'm sorry about Aleisha." 'That's ok we were just not meant to be."
~~~~~~~ Skip to 8 PM~~~~~~
It was late and I had to go home. I hugged Luke and headed out the door. As I was walking something pushed me into a big snow bank and started punching me one thing ran through my mind. Aleisha. I tried to fight back but she just kept punching me. " You think since Luke and I broke up you can have him. If I can't have him no one can." She snarled. "LUKE!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. She punched me harder since I yelled. I heard footsteps running down the path finally they stopped. "NYLA" he said in shock. "GET OFF OF HER YOU PHYCO!" He lifted her off of me and helped me up. He got on his phone and called the police. Within a few minutes the police came and arrested Aleisha. Luke took me back to his house and cleaned me up. "I am so sorry that this happened to you Nyla. I don't know why she would do this." "I know why...Its because I like you... I've liked you since 7th grade." I said softly. "Really? After you left I realized I have liked you all along Nyla. I went looking for you and when I heard you scream my name i was in pure terror mode. I was so scared i thought i was gonna lose you." He started to tear up. I engulfed him into a hug and he sobbed into my shoulder. " Luke you wouldn't lose me you are stuck with me forever." I laughed. He looked up at me and smiled " I am glad." " Nyla will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes of course Luke." I have never been so happy in my life. He leaned in and pecked my lips and i knew that we were meant to be.
